HTC HD2 is a great phone. You can run stock Windows Mobile 6.5 on it. Err… WinMo 6.5 is a little bit outdated. No worry, you can install custom ROMs like Android and Windows Phone 7. Personally, I don’t recommend WP7 unless you need to use a killer app only build for it (but I doubt that). So Android OS is the one that you should get. And here are the latest and greatest Android ROM based on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread that you should try.
Wow… Lot of NAND Android builds lately. Here is another one from xda-developer, imilka ~ Stock HD Sense. It is HTC Desire HD build that based on latest RCMixHD v3.0 [TELUS WWE 1.84] for Desire. Using Android 2.2.1 Froyo and Rafpigna 1.7 OC Kernel. By the way, it is deodexed, zipaligned and unsquashfsed build. So you need to have 400MB system layout on ClockworkMod Recovery. And all your data will be stored at ext partition on SD card.
Latest build is always the best. Lot of bugs fixes and improvements… Here you are ~ Ultimate Droid 3.3 from Crawlingcity. Ultimate Droid is one of the Android ROMs that I like. It is fast and smooth. Crawlingcity always updated this ROM based on latest UD build and kernel. And this build is based on Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 and using Tytung r9 Kernel.
CyanogenMod 7 RC4 is on BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER HoneyComB now. You will love it like I do with its blue Honeycomb theme. As usual, it is based on the latest Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and using Tytung r8.3 Kernel. Try it now?
MIUI == Android + iOS in short. You have iPhone 4 interface on top of the best Android OS with MIUI Android ROM. And lot of new MIUI features specially designed by the China MIUI team. I just discovered the new MIUI camera module. The only downside, it is still using Android 2.2.1 Froyo. So Gingerbread lovers, this is not for you. And it is using tytung R2 Kernel. Officially, MIUI.cn does develop native ROM for HTC HD2. It supports Chinese language by default and English too (but translation not complete).
