Finally, we have official VLC for Android at Google Play Store. VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files (MKV, AVI, RM, RMVB, WMV, MP4). However, this is not a final VLC version (still in beta stage). So do expect bugs flying around here and there. Currently, VLC only support CPU ARMv7 with NEON. Try it out…

Top best video player for Asus Eee PC 1215B
Yeah… I found the best video player for my Asus Eee PC 1215B netbook finally. My Asus Eee PC 1215B netbook is powered by AMD Fusion APU E450 CPU and Radeon HD 6320 GPU. It is just an entry level hardware. So it needs video player that optimised for its CPU and GPU. Can’t simple use any media player as the CPU is not powerful enough to handle 1080p Full HD videos. Luckily, I discovered media players that suitable for it. By the way, I usually watch TV series, movies, MV in MP4, MKV, RM and RMVB format. Most of them are 720p and some of them are 1080p. So these media players do not apply only for Asus Eee PC 1215B netbook but those netbook and HTPC that use AMD Fusion APU E450 CPU and Radeon HD 6320 GPU as well.
Top best video player for Samsung Galaxy S2
Samsung Galaxy S II stock video player is a very powerful video player as it is hardware accelerated. However, it does not play all the video format. Samsung Galaxy S2 supports MPEG4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, Xvid and VC-1 video format at 1080p Full HD. You don’t need 3rd party video player if all your videos are in those formats. But I do have other video formats that I want to play like RMVB, MOV, FLV, MKV… So I tested several free and paid video player from Android Market ~ MoboPlayer, QQPlayer, arcMedia, SeamanPlayer, Kascend Video, VPlayer, BSPlayer, RockPlayer, MX Video Player, Daroon Player, DICE Player and Mobo Video Player. Guess which one is the best video player for Samsung Galaxy S2 which uses ARMv7 + Neon architecture.
