I love Android as open source platform. Good for end users because developers can improve Android devices even the hardware manufacturer does not do so. Take Amazon Kindle Fire for example, it is still running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on Amazon latest stock software update 6.3. However, developers already created Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for Kindle Fire. And 3.0 kernel is getting better each day. It brings stuffs that are not available on stock software like USB Host OTG.

Samsung Galaxy S II supports USB 2.0 On-The-Go (OTG). However, Samsung Galaxy S2 does not bundle USB OTG cable with it. Err… My PROLiNK USB Keyboard is not supported by Samsung Galaxy S II USB OTG. Oh, I should use ‘was’ instead of ‘is’ because I managed to get it working on Samsung Galaxy S2 now. Thanks to XDA Developer, Td8f4. Without his patch, my USB keyboard is still detected as “High-power USB device connected ~ Unable to access this device. Connected device needs external power supply”. No worry if your USB keyboard is not working too, try below patch and it might works like mine…
