Expand Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 internal storage to 11.8 GB

Want to make your Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 internal storage disk space bigger? Yes, you can make it up to 11.8 GB now. Don’t stick with stock 8.9 GB disk space. Of course, this is custom modification and unofficial. So ONLY do it if you know what you are doing… Well, basically it will install a China firmware with much larger user storage partition table file. This is possible as I mentioned previous in Galaxy S4 to have more internal user storage. But too bad that Samsung did not do so in all other international models.

Samsung Galaxy S4 to have more internal user storage

My 16GB Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 has only 8.82 GB of usable user storage compare to Galaxy S3 with 11.25 GB. That’s 2.43 GB less. Can Samsung really increase user storage size for Galaxy S4? Yes, if Samsung decides to repartition Galaxy S4 storage structure. But will that affect overall performance. Let’s find out.

How to enable USB stick / flash drive on Nexus 7?

Google Nexus 7 does not have microSD card slot. Adding extra SD card to increase storage space is not an option. You will face low disk space issue sooner or later especially for those with 8GB storage model (like mine). My Amazon Kindle Fire serves me well even with 8GB storage only. However, situation is not the same with Nexus 7 because it supports lot of interesting Android games with NVIDIA Tegra 3 GPU. And most of these advanced 3D games require lot of disk space. Luckily, I manage to put most of my music, photo and video on external storage like USB flash drive. And connect it with USB OTG cable when needed. Of course, with the help of StickMount application too. Note – root access is required.
