Finally, NAND Android for HTC HD2 is arrived. Thanks to DFT and all the developers that make it happens. We don’t need to boot into Windows Mobile 6.5 first then load Android anymore. But this means we can’t use Windows Mobile 6.5 anymore and until Windows Phone 7 ROM comes out. You are stuck with Android only if you install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader and NAND Android ROM for HTC HD2. Prerequisites
In order to install NAND Android on HTC HD2, you must install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader first. And the good news ~ both LEO512 and LEO1024 are supported. This means US T-Mobile HD2, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world’s HTC HD2 are supported. Do read this post for its usage and more information about DFT MAGLDR Bootloader.
Note – by installing MAGLDR, you cannot boot into Windows Mobile 6.5 anymore. And Android on SD card is not working on MAGLDR v1.11. I tried 2 builds ~ Android booted and hang there. So everything on your phone is gone…
Prerequisites
App2SD, App2SD+, Apps2SD, Apps2SD+, A2SD, A2SD+… Whatever you want call it. It is basically move Android internal storage from NAND memory to SD card. It is good for HTC HD2 which has 512MB ROM only. There are several NAND Android ROMs that support A2SD+ now. And in order to use them, we must make a Linux Extended Filesystem (ext) partition on SD card. There are current 4 type of ext~ ext, ext2, ext3 and ext4. ext4 is the latest one but not all NAND Android ROM support it. Do take note and always refer back to the ROM chef…
NAND Android on HTC HD2 cannot work without the help of DFT LEO MAGLDR Bootloader. It is a 2011 New Year Gift from DFT. MAGLDR Bootloader can load Android from SD card, Android from NAND and even Windows Phone 7 from NAND (when it comes out). It even has Tetris game loaded. Besides, you can turn SD card as USB Drive directly without entering any OS. Thanks to DFT for this wonderful gift.
