Developer Chainfire is back from holidays. And he brings along a gift to all Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 users. Yes, CF-Auto-Root supports Galaxy S4 I9500 model now. That’s the good news that everyone should rejoice, right? Yes, but I saw a comment from XDA Forum Taiwan user, sorg ~ Triangle Away is not possible anymore with I9500 stock bootloader due to boot block is hardware write protection. Huh? Is that true? Anyway, I have no chance to turning back now because my Galaxy S4 is already rooted and loaded with CWM. Warranty is already void but luckily Samsung Malaysia does not care much about rooting. And still accept to service for free even it is rooted based on several users’ feedback.

Test all Samsung Galaxy S4 hardware functions before buy it
Always test Samsung Android devices before buy it (only valid for shop purchase though). Yes, this applies to Samsung flagship Galaxy S4 too. Samsung makes a great tool for them to check the hardware quality at test development stage. And you can use it to test too. The application is called FactoryKeystring. Basically, it covers all the hardware function tests for Galaxy S4. You can check 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED screen with Red, Green, Blue, Receiver (white) and Vibration (black) colour. Make sure that there is no dead or bright pixel. That’s the first thing I will do. I really hate dead pixel as it is very annoying. There are other tests like Dimming, Touch and TSP Hovering to test the screen function as well. Front and back camera can be tested with Mega cam and Front cam. Both speakers’ tests are included too. Sleep, Sub key, LED, IR LED, LOW FREQUENCY, Barcode Emulator and SensorHub Test are the rest of the tests. Test all of them if you can.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Music Player for Galaxy S3
There is a whole ROM dump of Samsung Galaxy S4. So basically you can try out all the new Galaxy S4 features if your current Android phone like Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 firmware can support them. Galaxy S4 Music Player is one of them. Anything new in this music player, try it out and let me know…
How to remove bloatware on Galaxy S4?
You can’t find much bloatware on Google Nexus series. But this is not the case for carrier or other brand Android devices. Usually, they are loaded with several bloatwares (applications that you don’t need and use at all). Same apply to Samsung Galaxy S4. There are some applications that I do use use at all. And you can’t uninstall them using the normal way because they are system applications. But you can disable them and stop them from using your precious CPU and memory resources. Well, this method does not remove bloatware totally but have the same effect. Why? You can’t use system storage anyway even after actually removed those bloatware from system storage. Therefore, disable and remove are the same to me (unless you manage to reduce system partition and increase data partition manually).
