To buy or not to buy Samsung Galaxy Note? That’s the question… Samsung Galaxy Note is the ‘big’ thing in Android world beside its smaller brother Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In short, it is basically a bigger version of Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 with 720p Super AMOLED display, upgraded CPU and has S Pen stylus as input. It is a phone and tablet hybrid. Or you can also say that Samsung Galaxy Note is too big as a phone and too small as a tablet. It is really up to personal taste and usage. I usually buy stuffs online without even hand on those products. Same applied to my HTC HD2 and Samsung Galaxy S II. I ordered them without even see them in real life first. Just read lot of reviews about them then made the decision to buy. However, I have hard time to convince myself to buy Samsung Galaxy Note without see it and hand on it first due to these 2 reasons…

Samsung Galaxy Note will be priced at RRP RM 2299 (original from Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME)) and will be launched at 11 November 2011 in Malaysia. And Celcom and Maxis DiGi are the 2 telcos that going to have Samsung Galaxy Note with subsidized price on their promotion packages.

Samsung HD Super AMOLED maybe a good display. But not each one of them that come out from Samsung factory is free from defect. One poor guy got a defect HD Super AMOLED screen for his Samsung Galaxy Note (link). I won’t be surprise because I myself personally faced the same issue previously with Samsung Galaxy S II ~ Super AMOLED Plus dark spot issue. Luckily, I got a replacement the next day from Samsung Elite Partner (SEP), Malaysia.

I mentioned that I need to hand on Samsung Galaxy Note before make the decision to buy it. I went to Samsung Galaxy Note Road Show at Queensbay Mall, Penang (1 hour drive from my town) immediately after I knew that Samsung Galaxy Note can be bought at RM 2088 with Celcom Prepaid (RM 8.50) from Lowyat Forum. And it has free flip case (cost around RM 100) for the first 9999 customers too. So the Samsung Galaxy Note actually cost around RM 2000 compare to RRP RM 2299. This is a very interest offer…
