Finally, NAND Android for HTC HD2 is arrived. Thanks to DFT and all the developers that make it happens. We don’t need to boot into Windows Mobile 6.5 first then load Android anymore. But this means we can’t use Windows Mobile 6.5 anymore and until Windows Phone 7 ROM comes out. You are stuck with Android only if you install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader and NAND Android ROM for HTC HD2. Do you still want to continue?

Prerequisites

  • HSPL3 ~ SPL-2.08.HSPL
  • Radio that support 576 RAM
  • DFT MAGLDR Bootloader

Download MDJ CyanogenMod 7 NAND Android ROM for HTC HD2

Finally, a near fully working Android 2.3 Gingerbread (GRH78) NAND ROM for HTC HD2. It is based on CyanogenMod 7 and MDJ S9.4 OC Kernel. 3G data connection, audio, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, 720p playback, phone, camera (5Mp) and camcorder (800×480) are working. But Wi-Fi Tethering (Hotspot) is not working yet. But believe it will be fixed soon…

How to Install MAGLDR on HTC HD2? (Video)

In order to install NAND Android on HTC HD2, you must install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader first. And the good news ~ both LEO512 and LEO1024 are supported. This means US T-Mobile HD2, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world’s HTC HD2 are supported. Do read this post for its usage and more information about DFT MAGLDR Bootloader.

Note – by installing MAGLDR, you cannot boot into Windows Mobile 6.5 anymore. And Android on SD card is not working on MAGLDR v1.11. I tried 2 builds ~ Android booted and hang there. So everything on your phone is gone…

Download MDJ Android 2.3 Gingerbread AOSP ROM for HTC HD2

Finally, MDJ Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM arrived to HTC HD2. It is based on Android 2.3.1 GRH55 and using MDJ S8.0 Kernel. And it is in alpha stage. So do expect bugs from here and there. But xda-developer, m-deejay is working very hard to get them solved. He released 4 versions from v0.1 to v0.4 in 6 hours. I tested from v0.1 to v0.4. It is getting better and better. Can’t wait for the stable version…
