Google Talk with video and voice chats is the major update on Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 (GRJ22). However, HTC HD2 without front facing camera is limited to voice chats only. Anyway, that does not stop us from upgrading to the latest Android build. Besides, this build is using latest Tytung R10 kernel which support T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling.
Yeah… xda-developer, imilka release another version of its HTC Desire Z build. This version includes advanced power menu, EVO keyboard with arrows, small performance improvements and most of all ~ it is rooted. The best part of Desire Z ~ HTC Sense Rotatable Launcher which includes Music app, Weather app, FM Radio, HTC Contacts in landscape mode. It is based on RC Team Z v0.6 build for Desire (Desire Z 1.72.405.2) with Android 2.2.1 Froyo and using MDJ S9.2 OC Kernel. Further more, it uses DATA.IMG at SD card as internal storage.
CyanogenMod 7 Android ROM for HTC HD2 is getting better each day. Thanks to all the developers that making these wonderful builds. Here is another great release from XDA Developer, pongster. It is based on CyanogenMod 7 final stable version (Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread) and using Tytung r9 Kernel which supports unique Bluetooth MAC address, Bluetooth auto-reconnect and two-way call recording. And should not have first call robotic voice issue too.
Finally, XDA Developer, pongster updated his build ~ HyperDroid CM7 to v2.1.0 which is based on latest CyanogenMod 7 Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and using latest Tytung R10 Kernel. As usual, it supports Google Talk v1.3 which has video and voice chat functions.
Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread anyone? NexusHD2-Gingerbread NAND Android is a clean ROM compiled from AOSP Gingerbread for Nexus One (GRH78C / Android 2.3.2). And using tytung_r3_oldcam Kernel (supports CIFS, UTF-8, WiFi MAC address, Yaffs, Ext2/3/4) based on hastarin r8.6 oldcam. Most of the stuffs are working fine except camcorder on high setting, Bluetooth which has 60mA battery drain issue on standby and blinking keypad which can be fixed by installing LED Me Know.
