Wow… There is lot of great and best Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S II. Really hard to determine which one is the best custom firmware for Samsung Galaxy S2. Personally, I won’t stick with stock firmware which is XWKF1 ~ Android 2.3.3 in Malaysia. And still no update until now while other region already got XXKG3, XXKG5 and XXKG6. Thanks to all the developers who develops these firmware. Some ROMs don’t have Samsung bloatware included while some have. Wow… Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (GRJ90) is here on HTC HD2. Yes, I am still updating HTC HD2 related stuffs. No worry… What are the new features of Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (GRJ90)? I can’t find the exact feature list but NFC transceiver support was for sure. Don’t ever think about NFC on HTC HD2 nor even my new Samsung Galaxy S2 because both of them don’t have NFC hardware support. Anyway, it does not stop us from upgrading to the latest Android build, right? Something good might also come along with it. By the way, this build also includes Tytung GPS Libraries v1.8.

SensatioN ROM for Samsung Galaxy S II is another custom firmware that you can try on your Samsung Galaxy S2. It has a nice user interface – SensatioN 2.0 theme. I like its transparent dropdown menu, redesigned dialer and using JKay Theme (you can modify lockscreen, phone power menu). SensatioN ROM v1.5 is based on the latest XXKH3 firmware, Ninphetamine 2.0.5 Kernel and deodexed & Zip-aligned. Samsung hubs were removed and using TwLauncher v4.5.

If you still own HTC HD2, Android should be the operating system on it instead of old Windows Mobile 6.5. And the good news, there are still lot of developers working hard to develop Android ROM for HTC HD2. TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 is one of them. And it is based on latest Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread GWK74 and using latest Tytung r12.4 Kernel. Besides, it is equipped with latest SuperUser 3.0 and new Android Market 3.1.5 too. And I like the new ring lockscreen style in CM7.
