Gaming on Kindle Fire Review
As a hardcore gamer, the very first thing that I tried on my newly bought Amazon Kindle Fire ~ games. Lot of games testing… Kindle Fire is powered by 1 GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 dual-core processor and 304 MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU. Kindle Fire has 7″ multi-touch (2 points only) IPS screen with resolution 600×1024 px. Its IPS display really shines here (look better than iPad due to higher pixel density).
By the way, Kindle Fire is using the same SoC like Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G model in Malaysia. Some SGS2 I9100G owners claim that PowerVR SGX540 GPU is better than SGS2 I9100 ARM Mali-400 MP GPU. Does PowerVR SGX540 GPU perform well in all 2D and 3G games? Let’s find out…
Download warez in Samsung Apps?
I don’t visit Samsung Apps usually. However, I do visit Samsung Apps once in a while for freebie. Wow… I found out that Air Attack HD, Riptide GP, Samurai II, Roboto, Sprinkle and other games are available to download for free. Android Market has 10 apps at $0.10 for 10 days. Samsung is giving out free. Hopefully, they are not trial / demo version like Gameloft Games.
Download Roboto Font from Android 4.0
We may need some time to enjoy Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on our current Android phones. But lot of goodies from Android 4.0 ICS can be installed and used now. Roboto Font is one of them. I tried the Roboto FlipFont apk from XDA. But it does not change to Roboto Fond after selected it. Just same as default font on my Samsung Galaxy S II. But I found Font Installer at Android Market which has lot of fonts and it has latest Roboto Font too. Try it… Note – root access is required.
