tytung is the man behind NexusHD2 Android ROMs and kernels. Yes, I can say that NexusHD2 is the best Android ROM for HTC HD2. tytung has done a great job to develop both kernel and ROM. From Android Froyo, Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. Many other Android ROMs are using its kernel too. tytung is still cooking Android ROM for HTC HD2 right now. However, you can’t find it on XDA Forum anymore. But at his very own forum now. Not sure why XDA Forum ‘forces’ him leave there. He is not the first one and will not be the last. Just too bad to see such a good developer leaving a good development site.

Android is the most active OS on HTC HD2 right now. Yes, developers are still cooking ROM for 4 years old HTC HD2. So all the HTC HD2 users can enjoy the latest and greatest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on HTC HD2. NexusHD2 is one of my favourite ROM on HTC HD2 which cooked by XDA Developer, tytung. NexusHD2 JellyBean CM10.1 ROM is the latest one. It is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (JDQ39) ~ CyanogenMod 10.1 and using htcleo-2.6.32 kernel. It includes CM10.1 features like Enhanced Power Menu with Reboot and Screenshot options, Power Notification Widget, Trebuchet Launcher, T9 Dialer, Keep app back button in Developer options and Theme. All Google Apps are included like Google Now. Rooted, Superuser, su and busybox are added too. It also supports hardware acceleration like hardware video decoding (720p video playback). And more other goodies…

XDA Developer, tytung has done a very well done job on bringing good ROM and GPS Libraries to HTC HD2. I tried his Froyo, Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich ROM. And now he has Android HTC HD2 ROM based on CyanogenMod 9. This is the version that he is currently developing and supporting. So whoever love to use Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM on HTC HD2 should try out this very ROM.

Download Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread NAND Zip ROM for HTC HD2

Yeah… Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread is available on HTC HD2 now. Thanks to XDA Developer, Tytung. It is actually a mixed of Nexus One 2.3.6 OTA (Android 2.3.6 GRK39F) and Google’s AOSP Nexus One 2.3.5 (Android 2.3.5 GRJ90). This build is using tytung_r12 kernel with mic gain support. Has latest Android Market v3.1.5 and SuperUser v3.0 too.

Top Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread NAND Android ROM for HTC HD2

Yeah… The latest Android 2.3.5 (GRJ90) Gingerbread is available on HTC HD2. What are Android 2.3.5 features? You tell me. Anyway, I am looking forward for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (a combination of Gingerbread and Honeycomb) which should be available on Q4 2011. Here is the best Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread NAND Android ROM for HTC HD2. They are based on CyanogenMod 7, MIUI and AOSP stock Gingerbread for Nexus One.
