HTC HD2 is a great phone. You can run stock Windows Mobile 6.5 on it. Err… WinMo 6.5 is a little bit outdated. No worry, you can install custom ROMs like Android and Windows Phone 7. Personally, I don’t recommend WP7 unless you need to use a killer app only build for it (but I doubt that). So Android OS is the one that you should get. Yeah… XDA Developer, Tytung updated his NexusHD2-Gingerbread build to version 2.6. It is a fast, stable, and clean ROM compiled from source code of AOSP Gingerbread for Nexus One (GRI40 / Android 2.3.3), optimized for HTC HD2, and released on 12 April 2011. Want a clean ROM compiled from AOSP Gingerbread? NexusHD2-Gingerbread is the one for you then. Basically, it is based on AOSP Gingerbread for Nexus One which has Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and using Tytung r8.3 Kernel. By the way, it does not support A2SD natively but you can always install Darktremor Apps2SD by yourself to enable it.
Google Talk with video and voice chats is the major update on Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 (GRJ22). However, HTC HD2 without front facing camera is limited to voice chats only.
