Android 2.2 Froyo on HTC HD2 cannot be done without help from the developers. Thanks to them. We are able to use Android on our lovely HTC HD2. Kernel is the heart of operating system, so getting the right one is very important. There are 2 main kernels ~ Hastarin and MDJ Kernels. Both of them are great and you can’t be wrong to use anyone of them.
While waiting for MDJ FroYo Glacier v2.0, xda-developer, m-deejay released another Android ROM based on RUU HTC Desire 2.33.161.2 + Dell Streak Launcher ~ MDJ FroYo Streak Android ROM. With the latest kernel MDJ S7.7HD UTF8, you can overclock max 1500 MHz with SetCPU (I failed to go beyond 1200 MHz on Windows Mobile 6.5). Overclock will make phone battery hotter == lesser battery life. So I stay on default setting without overclocking most of the time.
Finally, I found an Android build for HTC HD2 that free from g-sensor freeze issue. Thanks to all the developers who make it happens. I don’t need to ask ‘How to fix g-sensor freeze issue on Android HTC HD2?’ from now on. Playing games on Android HTC HD2 will be same as actual Android phone out there. Yeah…
HTC Desire HD ROM has the most stuff from HTC like HTC Hub, HTC Likes, Locations… With latest kernel MDJ S7.3HD, it is working better than previous builds. eReader and camcorder is still not working thou. But they will be fixed sooner or later by the clever xda-developers.
