Google Nexus 7 battery life test

How is Google Nexus 7 battery life? Nexus 7 has 4325 mAh built-in battery. Based on Google official specification, Nexus 7 can perform 9 hours of HD video playback or 10 hours of web browsing or 10 hours of e-reading or 300 hours of standby on full charged. However, I am not getting this kind of battery life on my Nexus 7. Of course, most of these specs have no background applications running while we have in real life. So my Nexus 7 battery life is shorter…

Apple iPad Hardware Tour ~ Maxis10

My Maxis wireless broadband connection speed test is still on going because I want to gather more data to get accurate result. So I will start posting Apple iPad stuffs from now on…

The first thing that catch my eyes ~ Apple iPad’s 9.7″ Multi-Touch LED-backlit IPS display. The colour is crisp and vivid while viewing angle is great with IPS technology. It is a pleasure to view it with friends and family together. However, the pixel density is not as much as Apple iPhone 4 retina display because iPad has 1024×768 pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch only vs. 326 pixels per inch on iPhone 4. So you can see pixels if you put iPad close to your eyes. No an issue for normal viewing range though.

Dell UltraSharp U2410 Review

Introduction
Yeah, Dell UltraSharp U2410 is my first IPS panel monitor (dump VA panel due to slowness). It is a 24 inch monitor with 1920×1200 resolution. It is hard to find 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio monitor nowadays. Most of them are 1920×1080 (16:9) Full HD format. By the way, Dell UltraSharp U2410 is the replacement of Dell UltraSharp 2408 Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor. Basically, Dell replaced the Samsung VA panel with LG IPS panel and V shape monitor stand with a solid rectangular base. What I like? It has the same 110% Color Gamut as 2408WFP but with higher color depth of 1.07 billion and crazy high 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Best of all, better viewing angle compare to cheap TN panel monitor.

Dell UltraSharp U2410 Monitor Unpacking

I always want a better viewing angle LCD monitor like Dell UltraSharp 2408 WFP with pilot function. However, the VA (Vertical Alignment) panel which have very high input lag is not suitable for gaming (FPS) that I spend most of the time with my computer beside blogging. The wait is over, Dell comes out a new monitor that suite my need ~ Dell UltraSharp U2410 Monitor at a very attractive price (RM1599 @ US$450). Dell UltraSharp U2410 uses IPS (In Plane Switching) panel (not sure is H-IPS or not) and it should be faster than VA panel. Okay, let’s unpack it.
