Finally, Google Nexus 5 is here. As usual, it is available for certain countries at launch. More country after that. And expected, it was sold out within hours. I did not manage to grab one in Malaysia (not so soon based on Nexus 4 situation). However, it does not stop us to try out latest and greatest Android 4.4 KitKat applications and wallpapers from Nexus 5. You can try out new Google Play Services 4.0, Google Experience Launcher, Google search, Calculator, DeskClock, Email, Gmail, Keep, Maps, Hangouts, Play Books, QuickOffice, Street View, Play Games and Keyboard. And enjoy the lovely wallpapers too. Can’t wait for Nexus 7 (2013) KitKat OTA update because the last update screwed up multitouch. Err…

Wanam Kit – Customize Android 4.4 KitKat Nexus Stock ROM
XDA Developer, wanam has a nice customization tool for Samsung firmwares – Wanam Xposed. And he has another one which will do the same great stuffs for Nexus (AOSP) ROM – Wanam Kit. It will let you customize Android 4.4 KitKat AOSP stock ROM. Good for Nexus devices like Nexus 4, 5 and 7 (2013)… As usual, it requires root access and Xposed Framework 2.4. Loaded with few features like enable numeric battery, change colour and typeface of the battery text, skip music with volume buttons in this very first release. Rest assures that more features will come.

Busy… Busy… Busy… I still did not manage to install Android 4.4 KitKat OTA Update. And there are Android 4.4 KitKat Factory Image for Nexus 4, 5, 7 (2013) and 10 now. So if you want to have a fresh start of your Nexus devices with KitKat. You can download these factory images and install. Else as usual, wait for OTA update. Can’t wait to enjoy all the new features from Android 4.4.
