Download Android 4.3 Factory Image for Nexus 4, 7, 10 & Galaxy Nexus

Yes, the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is here. What are the new features in Android 4.3? 2 of features that I like the most – OpenGL ES 3.0 and Bluetooth Smart 4.0 LE. Great for hardcore gamers as there will be more complex 3D graphics games for Android soon. And Bluetooth devices can use lesser power than before. Of course, your Android devices need to have the hardware ability to support them. Else you can’t enjoy these features at all. Too bad that Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU does not support OpenGL ES 3.0 (2.1 only). Luckily, Nexus 4 and new Nexus 7 Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro GPU Adreno 320 does…

Download & Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Samsung Galaxy S3

Want to try the latest and greatest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S III? You are in luck today. XDA Developer, Faryaab created an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Samsung Galaxy S3 from Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean OTA. And it is using modified CM9 Kernel. One thing to take note. This is a very early build. So far on the first version that I tried. These functions are working ~ ADB, touchscreen, hardware acceleration, notification LED, cellular radio (but no audio so no calls), physical buttons, SMS, accelerometer and charging. There rest of the stuffs is not working like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, audio, camera, MTP, storage… Anyway, you can give it a try and have a feel of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S3. Note – don’t try it with external SD card plug in. Else it will be corrupted.

To buy or not to buy Samsung Galaxy Note?

To buy or not to buy Samsung Galaxy Note? That’s the question… Samsung Galaxy Note is the ‘big’ thing in Android world beside its smaller brother Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In short, it is basically a bigger version of Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 with 720p Super AMOLED display, upgraded CPU and has S Pen stylus as input. It is a phone and tablet hybrid. Or you can also say that Samsung Galaxy Note is too big as a phone and too small as a tablet. It is really up to personal taste and usage. I usually buy stuffs online without even hand on those products. Same applied to my HTC HD2 and Samsung Galaxy S II. I ordered them without even see them in real life first. Just read lot of reviews about them then made the decision to buy. However, I have hard time to convince myself to buy Samsung Galaxy Note without see it and hand on it first due to these 2 reasons…

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich & Galaxy Nexus

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is here. And Galaxy Nexus is the first Android phone to have it. I love the HD Super AMOLED display (1280 x 720) on Galaxy Nexus. But 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual-core processor with PowerVR SGX540 GPU is disappointed for a 3D gamer like me. Galaxy Nexus score on GLBenchmark is bad too.

Nexus Prime Specs

Nexus Prime ~ the upcoming smartphone from Google and Samsung. Some call it as Samsung Galaxy Nexus but I still prefer Nexus Prime. It will be equipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which combine both phone and tablet OS into one. And no doubt that it will have a 720p HD screen. But the rest of the hardware specs are still not confirmed. There is several sources mention about Nexus Prime Specs such as BGR, GSMArena… Which one of them is correct?
