Yeah… I have the fastest Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005

Wow… My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 is the fastest. Rank no 4 in the global ranking of AnTuTu Benchmark. Hehe… I was just lucky back then. 36736 is the highest score on stock firmware. Usually getting around 35K only. Basically, AnTuTu Benchmark is overwhelmed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 devices now. Yes, the no 1 is using Sony Xperia Z1. 2nd is Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (China version). 3rd is XiaoMi 3 (I doubt it is NVIDIA Tegra 4 version). And mine at no 4 with Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005. 5th is LG Optimus S G2…

How to benchmark SD card performance on Android?

There are several benchmark tools on Google Play Store to benchmark SD card performance. After tried out some of them, I found out that SD Tools and A1 SD Bench provide accurate and consistent data. SD Tools is good but it can’t be used on certain Android devices like Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2. But it is working fine on Galaxy S4. A1 SD Bench works on every of my Android devices. Besides, it provides the ability to test internal memory, SD card and system RAM too. However, it includes cached data sometime. Therefore, you need to benchmark several times to get the correct result.

A1 SD Bench ~ free Android benchmark tool for SD card, RAM & memory

A1 SD Bench is one of my favourite SD card benchmark tools for Android. And it is updated to version 2.0 which 4 benchmark modes support – Quick, Longer, Accurate and Random I/O. It is a free and without advertisement application that can run on all my devices. Besides, it can used to benchmark RAM and memory (USB flash drives and USB HDD too). You can also see others’ results online.

Anomaly 2 Benchmark just makes Nexus 7 (2013) Adreno 320 GPU outdated

One of my favourite tower defense (or offense) games – Anomaly Warzone Earth (then Anomaly Korea) from 11 bit studios has a benchmark tool. Yup, it is their next generation engine for Anomaly 2. The engine itself looks great. Nice graphics and animation. Can’t wait for the game itself. Err… The Adreno 320 GPU in Nexus 7 (2013) can’t seem to perform well on 1080p at high quality mode. However, latest Galaxy Note 3 with Adreno 330 GPU scores very well there.
