How to Install CWM NAND Android on HTC HD2? (Video)

How to Install Android on HTC HD2? There are several type of Android for HTC HD2 like SD card Android, NAND Android in MAGLDR format, CWM format and cLK format. CWM NAND Android ROM is the most common ROM for HTC HD2. And I prefer it because I can use Nandroid to make backup and restore. There are several components needed to be installed before you can use NAND Android. But it is not hard to install them when you can follow my step by step video guides.

Prerequisites

  • SPL-2.08.HSPL
  • Radio that support 576 MB RAM
  • DFT MAGLDR Bootloader v1.13
  • ClockworkMod Recovery v1.3
  • EXT3 partition on SD card

Do take your time to study these guides. Then install them one by one. You need all these components in order to use CWM NAND Android with A2SD+ support.

How to enable USB keyboard support on Android USB OTG?

Err… My PROLiNK USB Keyboard is not supported by Samsung Galaxy S II USB OTG. Oh, I should use ‘was’ instead of ‘is’ because I managed to get it working on Samsung Galaxy S2 now. Thanks to XDA Developer, Td8f4. Without his patch, my USB keyboard is still detected as “High-power USB device connected ~ Unable to access this device. Connected device needs external power supply”. No worry if your USB keyboard is not working too, try below patch and it might works like mine…

Download HyperDroid Android 2.3.5 NAND A2SD+ Zip ROM for HTC HD2

CyanogenMod 7 should be the best Android ROM for HTC HD2 (MIUI too). It is faster than HTC Sense builds. Besides, it is smaller in size too so you can have more internal storage disk space. HyperDroid v3 is based on CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC0 (Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread) and using seader_R5 Kernel. As usual, it has strange LCD density. It increased to 192 from 167 DPI on v3 which is better but might still be small for certain people like me. Personally, the smallest DPI that I can accept on HTC HD2 is 220…

How to overclock Samsung Galaxy S2?

Samsung Galaxy S II is already a very fast smartphone @ 1.2 GHz. And it can be even better and faster by overclock it to 1.4 GHz or 1.6 GHz. That’s 17% and 33% speed increased. However, official kernel does not support overclock ability as the highest speed stage is locked at 1.2 GHz. Basically, you need a custom modified kernel which have more and higher speed stages to overclock. And use SetCPU application to overclock it.
