Everything comes well-protected as you can see. Once opened, you can find the SonicGear Hyperbass Buds-1 earphones itself and another 2 pair of silicone earbuds in the package. So in total, you have 3 sizes – S, M and L.
Build quality is great with mixed metal and plastic housing. The outer is metal while inner part is plastic. Y-splitter remote and 3.5mm audio plug are plastic too. Lightweight indeed. 2 colours to choose – black and gunmetal.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Hyperbass Buds-1 fits well thanks to small and lightweight housing. And won’t fell off easily even not wearing over the ear style. In addition, it is pleasant to wear for long hours as long as you get the correct ear tips for you. As for isolation, it is okay for in-ear earphones. It does block out some of the environment noises. But don’t expect much.
Performance Result
Let’s talk about phone call audio quality first. SonicGear Hyperbass Buds-1 performs okay in this department. Others can hear my voice clearly. And I can hear others’ voice clearly too. As for wired remote, it is limited to play, pause and next / previous track functions only. Too bad that it does not have volume control here.
Hyperbass Buds-1 is a balanced toward bright sound signature earphones. In short, the treble is a bit more than usual. And that’s causing harshness on certain tracks. So do take note. Overall, the treble is sharp and very clear. Bass is great. It is bumping here and there. Enough to feel the impact yet well in control. As for soundstage, it is decent for the price. Overall, Buds-1 is suitable for gaming, music listening and movie watching.
