Packaging and Design
Everything comes in a nice package. Well protected too. As you can see, there are 4 colours to choose from – mint, pink, white and black. Just pick the one that suits you most.
Here are the stuff in the package. There are charging case, USB-C cable, user manual, 2 additional pair of ear tips and Earpump TWS 16. FYI, the charging case and ear tips’ colour will match the earbuds except for the charging cable (which is always in black).
Build quality is great for the price. It is loaded with sturdy plastic housing. Matte surface as you can see. Compact in size and light in weight. As usual, do check out all the photos for its design and outlook.
Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Fit is great even with oval bore tip design. As usual, make sure you use the correct ear tip for perfect seal. Comfort wise is decent too. Compact and lightweight help a lot. Don’t forget the IPX4 support that great for sports activities. As for passive isolation, it is decent. It does block some of the environment noises while music is being played.
Performance Result
Excellent ANC performance for the price! Yes, it is able to filter out ambient noises like engine from airplane, train and so on. They disappear mostly when you play music with ANC turned on. You can also turn off ANC if you prefer. Or enable transparent mode that increases environment sound. Aware of your surrounding while commuting in this mode. Cool, right?
Outstanding Bluetooth range for TWS earbuds. It can go up to 8m+ with obstacles like walls. Connection is very stable too. AAC audio codec is supported and it has lower latency than the usual SBC codec. In addition, game mode with 55ms low latency is supported too. Audio and video are virtually in sync that great for movie, games and MV. Lastly, you can use Earpump TWS 16 as stereo or mono.
Based on specs, it has 5.5 hours music playback and extra 28 hours with the charging case. Phone call experience is great thanks to ENC. Others can hear me loud and clear.
Sound Quality
SonicGear Earpump TWS 16 ANC has warm sound signature. In short, the bass is slightly more than treble. Highs are clear and clean. Get the job done. Mids are getting warm touch on the vocals for both female and male. Great! Lows are the star of the show. Bass is deep and powerful. No worries, it is still in control. The soundstage is decent for the price. Not the best out there nor the worst. Overall, Earpump TWS 16 sounds great for the price.
