Packaging and Design
As usual, there are Earpump TWS 12 ANC, 2 additional pair of ear tips, charging case, USB-C cable and user manual in the package.
Again, the build quality is great for the price. Sturdy plastic housing with matte surface. Comes in 2 colours – black and white as usual. Pick the one that you prefer.
Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Their design is the same. So the fit is great. Comfort is decent. As for passive isolation, it is average at best. It can block some of the environment noises while music is being played.
Performance Result
Earpump TWS 12 does a great job on cancelling the environment noises through ANC. As usual, they work better in ambient noises like engine from airplane, train and so on. Besides ANC, there are another 2 modes – normal and transparent. Different modes on different environments.
Bluetooth 5.3 connection is much better. Longer range too. Yes, it can go up to 8m with obstacles like walls. AAC audio codec is supported as usual and it has lower latency than the usual SBC codec. Therefore, audio and video are virtually in sync.
Based on specs, it can last for 9 hours music playback. And extra 27 hours with the charging case. Shorter with ANC enabled. Do take note…
Sound Quality
The sound signature remains the same. Slightly more bass than treble. Basshead will like it. As usual, the highs are clear and clean. No harshness at all. Thanks to warmness, vocals sound natural and nice. Bass is the star. Powerful and punchy yet in control. The soundstage remains the same – decent. Not the best out there nor the worst. Overall, the updated Earpump TWS 12 sounds great for the price.
