SonicGear EarPump Sport 100, 200 & 300 Review

Introduction
Hey guys, check out the latest Bluetooth earphones for sport by SonicGear – EarPump Sport 100, 200 and 300. 3 of them are loaded with high clarity audio and strong bass. And have call answering function. Powered with 70mAh battery that can playback up to 4 hours non-stop music. They are almost the same in specifications but come with different designs. Let’s have a closer look on them…

Special Thanks
This review is possible thanks to below companies. Be sure to check them out…

Packaging and Design
SonicGear EarPump Sport 100, 200 and 300 come based on their own colour packaging. You can find Bluetooth earphones itself, user manual, 3 pair of ear tips (300 model has 2 pairs only) and micro USB charging cable. That’s all.

All 3 of them are using plastic as housing. 200 has straight nozzle design, 100 has 35° and 300 has 45°. Build quality is decent by the way.

Both EarPump Sport 100 and 300 has the same Bluetooth receiver and control. It has soft adjustable rubber clip with magnet to attach the receiver itself easily. And it is much stylish and having matte surface that great to touch as well. EarPump Sport 200 has hard plastic housing, rubber cover on the micro USB port and dedicated shirt clip.

Fit, Comfort & Isolation
The bundle fin type ear tips are the softest among all. However, it comes in M size and available for 100 and 200 models only. The other 3 pairs are harder but still okay to wear. 300 model’s ear tips are the hardest by the way. Ear tips and nozzle angle play big roles in getting good fit and seal. Both 100 and 200 do well except 300. I can’t get perfect seal on 300 model at all == no bass and poor isolation. As for comfort, no complaint for all 3 models.

Performance Result
All SonicGear EarPump Sport 100, 200 and 300 Bluetooth wireless connection is outstanding. Exceeds 10m Bluetooth range in straight sight line with no obstacle easily. And up to 8m with obstacles when tested with Xiaomi Mi 6. Furthermore, it has battery life indicator on Android and iOS too. And of course, all the media control function like play/pause, next/previous track and volume control are working properly.

Up to 4 hours non-stop music playback. Yes, all 3 of them can last more than 4 hours no doubt. 200 model has extra 1 hours plus thanks to slightly larger battery size. Took longer time to charge as well when compare to other 2 that need around 1 hour to fully charged. As for microphone, it is sensitive. Others can hear my voice loud and clear.

As for sound quality, I love SonicGear EarPump Sport 200 the most. It provides balanced sound signature which I prefer. Both treble and bass are well controlled. 100 model sound toward V shape with extra boost in both treble and bass. As for 300, I manage to get treble out of it only since I am not getting good seal. All the bass is gone. Overall, both EarPump Sport 100 and 200 sound decent for their price. Can’t recommend EarPump Sport 300 though unless you can get perfect seal (or you prefer this way)…

Advantages

  • Decent sound quality with balanced, V shape sound signature
  • Outstanding Bluetooth range
  • Sensitive microphone
  • Good build quality
  • Fast charging

Limitations

  • 300 model does not seal well (at least for me)
