Download Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 Cab for Windows Mobile

Another must installed software on Windows Mobile that I forgot to mention ~ Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 1. You won’t need it like Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 but some applications do require it to be installed. After playing HTC HD2 for 4 months, I just need it now.

You can download Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 at Microsoft website at 22.0 MB. But you need to copy to your desktop PC first before install it at your Windows Mobile device. That is slow. Therefore, I have Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 Cab for you all. There are 2 files in the zip ~ sqlce.ppc.wce5.armv4i.CAB and sqlce.repl.ppc.wce5.armv4i.CAB. Install both of them.

htcAddicts cleanRAM is an application that I won’t need to use in HTC HD2 which have 448MB RAM (unlocked have 576MB). However, it is a very useful tool for Windows Mobile phones that have less RAM. It will keep you from soft reset your mobile phone when it is slowing down. Just run htcAddicts cleanRAM will help you (sometimes). What does cleanRAM do? It releases memory for Windows Mobile devices by clean up the wasted RAM memory without having to restart the device.

Use HTC HD2’s volume keys to take photo with SciLor’s LeoCameraAnyKey

Yeah… I love HTC for not giving us the camera shutter button for HTC HD2. But only provide soft touch shutter button by touching the LCD screen. (I don’t have issue with that but some might) The problem solved after our hero ~ SciLor came out a solution to take photo / video by using HTC HD2’s volume keys as shutter button.
