Package Content & Design
MINIX NEO C-G comes in simple packaging as above. Once taken out the adapter, there is a quick start guide in both English and Deutsch.
Excellent build quality with brushed aluminium housing. Light in weight and compact in size that eases to carry around during travel. Available in 2 colours – Space Gray and Silver.
There are 2 USB 3.0 ports, micro SD and SD card reader on one side. Another one is loaded with USB-C port (for power input only) and HDMI output. Finally, Gigabit Ethernet at end of the body.

Performance Result
Let’s look at the technical data first. Yes, MINIX NEO C-G performs very well indeed. Below is the USB 3.0 port performance by using 960GB Transcend ESD250C Portable SSD on CrystalDiskMark Benchmark. Rest assures that you can enjoy fast transfer rate on those ports.
As for micro SD slot, it is working perfectly well. Below is the result from 512GB Kingston Canvas Select Plus microSD.
Same apply to SD slot with UHS-I support. Excellent result too with 64GB Transcend 700S SD card.
How about LAN performance? It is getting 932 Mbits/s based on iPerf3 tests. Ultra-fast no doubt. A must-have feature as most of the ultrabook does not have Ethernet port loaded nowadays. Perfect for streaming movies and online gaming.
Don’t forget the useful HDMI output too. Yes, it does support 4K @ 60Hz indeed. Just add another portable monitor, you can enjoy dual monitor at any time, anywhere from now on. Enjoy crystal clear picture quality and vibrant multi-channel digital surround sound through it. Lastly, you can also charge your mobile devices through the USB-C port.
