How to overclock Google Nexus 4 CPU? Well, it is not recommended. Yes, you can overclock nexus 4 Qualcomm APQ8064 CPU but it gets overheated easily. And will reduce CPU speed by itself to avoid overheat. Using faster bin Nexus 4 CPU does have better overclock ability though. By the way, you need to have custom kernel that support CPU overclocking. Default kernel won’t let you do so.
Note – overclock will reduce Qualcomm APQ8064 CPU, Adreno 320 GPU and other hardware components lifespan because it will overheat easily. Do it at your own risk.
How to overclock Nexus 4 CPU?
- Install Nexus 4 custom kernel that support overclock CPU.
- Install Trickster MOD.
- Launch Trickster MOD.
- Go to General tab.
- Select the Max CPU speed that you prefer at CPU Frequency Control.
- Select Apply (tick).
- That’s it.
Note – Only enable ‘Set on Boot’ when you are confident that the overclocked CPU speed won’t hang and stable all the time.
