How to install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM on Kindle Fire? Yeah, Google released Android 4.1 Jelly Bean source code to AOSP few days ago. And most developers started to work and port Android 4.1 Jelly Bean AOSP to Amazon Kindle Fire. So you can ask this question now. As usual, don’t expect much from a newly built Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Kindle Fire. Bugs will be here and there. But it is considered good for such new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM. Hehe… I may not have Google Nexus 7 but I have Kindle Fire with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean now.
The very first version of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Kindle Fire that I tried is better than expected. Navigation transitions is silky smooth thanks to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Butter optimization. Wi-Fi connection is working. Root access is there too. Just hardware codecs is a no go for the moment. So video playback through applications like YouTube and Netflix is not possible. But overall, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Kindle Fire is ready to be a daily ROM soon enough. Looking forward for next release…
