iPad can play 1080p video? Officially no. But you can ‘hack’ iPad and make it to play 1080p video. iPad’s CPU is able to play 1080p MP4 and MOV video but limited by iTunes to 720p video only. Hehe… It is not a hack actually but just an unlock iPad true performance by using 3rd party application ~ USBSharp File Explorer. The best part ~ it is a FREE solution.
I downloaded several 1080p MP4, MOV videos from iTunes Movie Trailer and YouTube. Just copy the videos to USBSharp File Explorer. Then open it to play. That’s all. By the way, it should work on iPad 2 too.
