Always make a full system backup of your Google Nexus 4. Yes, prevention is better than cure. That’s why my nexus 4 is loaded with ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) which has Nandroid backup and restore feature. What does Nandroid backup do? Basically, it backup all your system, applications and data (example, SMS, games’ data). It is a must for those who like to try out custom modification, ROM. Because you can easily restore back to your backup copy if anything went wrong. Install CWM on Nexus 4 if you have not do so. And let’s get started…
How to backup Nexus 4 with CWM?
- Boot into Nexus 4 CWM.
- Select backup and restore.
- Then select backup.
- After backup finished, select reboot system now.
- That’s it.
CWM creates backups at /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup folder. You need root access to locate it with file explorer. And don’t forget to make a backup to other places like PC, cloud storage – Dropbox.
