FAQ
Q: How can I switch the language to english?
A: After the installation, in the program folder you will find the file “language.English.ini”. Just rename it to “language.ini”. You have to do this on the client as well on the server.
Q: How can I control VLC?
A: You have to activate the http remote interface in the VLC settings. Go to tools then preferences. At the bottom check the “all” under “show settings”. Then expand “Interface” and then click on “Main interfaces” and you can enable “HTTP Remote Control interface” from there. Then restart VLC. Maybe you have to configure your firewall that a local connection is allowed.
I tested everything except Windows Media Center (I don’t have it) using WiFi connection. By the way, it requires Windows Mobile 6, WVGA resolution (800×480) and .Net Compact Framework 3.5 which most of the Windows Mobile phones should have.
