Yes, I love Android. Why? It is an open source platform. And lots of developers are working hard to make it better and faster each day. I can still see performance improvement on 2 years old hardware like HTC HD2. Wow… As usual, one of the most frequent update HTC HD2 ROM ~ TyphooN has the latest Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (GRJ90) too. And even updated with the latest Tytung GPS Libraries v1.9. Besides, it also includes the latest new Android Market. What are you waiting for? Try it now…
The I/O and 2D speed indeed are better than Android 2.3.4. And A-GPS from Tytung GPS Libraries v1.9 is working great too. Getting a fast satellite lock.

hi jacey i done already install the 2.3.5 android thanks a lot. pls mesage me if they got new version 🙂 i dont create EXT3 partition in my sdcard? this one is for what?
A2SD+ Android ROM will store apps and data at EXT3 partition if you have it.
how to download this jacey?A2SD+ ” Android ROM will store apps and data at EXT3″
Most A2SD+ comes along with Android ROM just like this one.
i know already thanks so much…:))
Hi Jacye, I have installed the Typhoon CM7 2.3.5 but when i try to install the apps from Android Market, I get this pop-up: Error downloading “google maps”. There is insufficient Space on the device.
However, I have check that there is about 150MB of internal storage left and 4GB of storage on my SD card.
These are the few things i have done
I did the SD partition, tried reinstalling the ROM after clearing the cache and data
Can i know whats the problem?
Hmm… Not sure about that. Maybe you can consult the ROM chef.
Hi jacye. Is an easy way to update my htc hd2 from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5
If same ROM but different version, install it through SD card directly should be okay.
hi jayce..
now i am using android 2.3.4..whats the difference bet 2.3.4 n 2.3.5…is all the app n butttons working…
I don’t know really. You need to try them yourself to find out. 😛
can this work on htc hd2 tmous? i already installed another rom in the nand by booting magldr using android flasher. since this is different like cm7 (i didnt use this yet) and clockwork mod (even that), and i follow all the steps there will be no problem right? thanks in advance
Yes. But you still need to install CWM and create EXT3 partition on your SD card.
oh and i used DAF.exe to install through nand. currently using 2.2
hey jayce,
i downloaded this rom..luv it..used the market app once to download a few things but now it constantly crashes asking me to force close..tried clearing cache, updating market but its not working..:*( any suggestions??
Maybe you can try the latest version at XDA. 🙂
Hi, I need help. I currently have NAND Android on my HD2 (TMOUS) based on this installation guide http://www.dkszone.net/install-nand-android-rom-htc-hd2. I followed it to the letter and right now, I want to switch to this TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 because of crashing issues. I am really new to this and I fear that I might brick my phone. Can you please teach me how to do that? Thanks!
Follow my latest installation guide – https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-install-cwm-nand-android-on-htc-hd2-video/
Will this work for HD2 with 1024 RAM coz it says, “Radio that support 576 RAM”. Thanks.
T-Mobile HD2 has 576 MB RAM and 1024 MB ROM. Not 1024 MB of RAM. So yes if you have correct radio ROM.
Good day jayce ive successfully installed typhoo cm7.. the only problem is. ive tried installing poweramp and the sound playback of mp3 is blurred and low. i have even connected it on a speaker yet it produces much awful output. is this from the mod or from the settings? if it is maybe ill just change the mod im using.
Thank you so much!
Sorry, I am not about this as I don’t use poweramp.
i even tried the built-in player and the sound is really very low even in maximum volume.
Maybe you should try other Android ROM see. But TyphooN does not give me this low sound issue. Hmm…
Hi Jayce,I have installed the typhoon and everything works fine=),thx. But,now I have storage issues. internal storage issues. So when I go to market place and trying to install things,it says not enough storage room. Anything I can do about that?
Can’t download everything? Or just certain application? Or may you can consult ROM chef at XDA see.
cant dl anything. the sd card has 13.78bg available. The internal says 7.25mb total and 3.56mb available…thats a bit weird isnt it?=)
How much CWM partition layout are you using? And did you create EXT3 partition on your SD card?
13.78gb*
im a bit new to this,hehe. CWM is? and yes,I made a ext3 partition,made that 400.
I mean,I used recovery 1.3 400m*
No wonder you don’t have enough internal space. You should use 150MB for this Android ROM. Install it again.
now it works=). Do gets some tiny errors now and then.. Applications that turns off and such. But,a really nice OS=)
Hi.. I am using HD2 with android too but can not write Chinese (Pin Yin). How about Typhoon Rom? Can write Chinese in SMS or not? Please help?
Just install Google Pinyin IME will do – https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.pinyin
Thanks so much for your help….

Sorry, I don’t use Dutch Language. So I don’t know. You can try these yourself – https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/02/top-android-2-3-5-gingerbread-nand-android-rom-for-htc-hd2/
Jayce, i have installed this ROM. However I try to download apps from the new android market, after pressing “start download and install”, no response or installation ongoing for my device. There is no installation or download sign on the top of the status bar. Help~~ Thanks.
Try the latest version from XDA see.
Can you provide me the link please. Thanks
XDA link is in the post.
Thanks for the info.. but still i have a little gap in my mind with the ADW launcher (this is default launcher for this rom). i am a GO launcher fan. is it possible to completely replace the launcher. means i like see only the go launcher not any other.
Install GO Launcher. Then select it as default launcher.
hey can install the android rom in a 64-bits windows 7 system….i know tat some software will not work on the 64-bits system,eg:magldr, hspl. i hope its not a stupid question.. 🙂
Yes, I am using Windows 7 64 bits too. And they are all working fine.
thanks….appreciate it 🙂
Thanks for the reply. but i know that part. well what i really want is to remove the entire ADW launcher from the system as well the contacts, sms, dialer for fully replace the apks’s with all the GO products.
please help…
Hmm… You need to cook the ROM by yourself then. Sorry, I have no knowledge to cook ROM yet. So can’t help much.
Thanks Jayce.
I am using original htc rom… i m fresh in this… I don understand the overall process… can u teach me how to do this? is it like this?
1. install HSPL 4
2. install Recovery V1.3
3. start install the rom as in this page.
is the step like this?
Hi, Eric. Please follow the installation guide in the post.
so far what is the latest android version?
2.3.6
where is the link? its has a big difference in 2.3.5?
It is only available for Google Nexus S for the moment. No idea on the changes…
does this have the sense in it?
No.
how to get a rom with a the sense …and which rom would you recommend?
I don’t use Sense ROM anymore. They eat too much internal storage. And a bit slow compare to CM7 and MIUI ROM. You need to find them at XDA.
thnk 🙂
can install sense separately?
No…
hey jayce …i was just wondering, byusin massstg should copy the typhoon zip to the sd card?
Yes, or SD card reader.
hey,can i install this rom without clockwork mod just usin magldr?
No. Zip ROM needs CWM to install.
oh ok…thanks
is this sd base or nand memory base?
NAND
whr can i gt the magldr version of tis rom?
a version where i dont need the clockwork memory
https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/01/03/top-5-nand-android-roms-for-htc-hd2/
I don’t think there is…
TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 v3.5.4 [Kernel: Tytung r10] NAND A2SD+ Zip ROM
is this ROM file working fine? I downloaded and file cannot open though, like missing file.
Yup, it is working fine. Above screenshots were taken during testing.
Hi Jayce
I followed all steps that you posted. Finally i got the android version 2.3.5 however i don’t see the android market (app) on my phone? i got no idea. :/ any suggestions…? thank you in advance.
Try to login to Gmail. Android Market should show out later.
Thank you Jayce. 🙂
Hi Jayce,
I have installed this ROM. After installing few apps, it says insufficient memory in the device. I have no idea why it says so because I have about 120MB in internal and about 13GB in my external SDHC card.
please help.
thanks
How much CWM partition did you install? And did you create EXT3 partition on your SD card?
250MB CWM partition .. yes created EXT3 partition as well
You should use 150MB CWM partition. So you can have more internal user disk space.
so do u recommend a clean install again?
Yes, if you want to use that extra 100MB. 🙂
followed this step for ext3 partition
http://www.enfeuman.com/2011/04/13/how-to-create-ext3-partition-on-your-sd-card/
Use DiskUsage to confirm that EXT3 partition is being used. https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/04/30/diskusage-check-android-phone-storage-space-usage/
it says App2SD 8.43 MiB
Do you see ‘app’ in /sd-ext?
yes.. occupying about 22.7 MiB
Then A2SD+ should be working fine. You can try to install Angry Birds to test. The Angry Birds apk should be installed at /sd-ext/app and not using any internal disk space at all.
Error! there is insufficient space on the device!!!
How much internal storage space do you have now?
Angry Birds takes 2MB there when I installed it. And 18MB in EXT3 partition.
about 114 MiB
it also shows sd-ext 914MB with 770 MiB free space
what shud i do now?
Let’s start a new tread here.
114MB available space? This should be more than enough. Did you install any other A2SD app or script?
no. yet yet.! I m doing a clean installation again. will get back to you once I have finished
The email app not able to forward with attachment. U have any idea?
Nope, I don’t use it. I use Gmail.
Gmail or yahoo mail app is working fine. But I’m connecting to microsoft exhange which using email app. Or u have any recommend app for exchange?
You need to find one at Android Market and test it yourself. Because I don’t use it.
hello, its me again. i will use this rom for my htc hd2. can i delete unwanted app from rom? how to do it? can i do it after installing? thank you.
Use Titanium Backup to remove them.
Hi Jayce, Yesterday i follow your guide dated back to 30Dec 2010 in installing the NAND Android for HTC HD2 and it is working very well
So now i want to change it to “TyphooN CM7 Android 2.3.5 NAND Android A2SD+ Zip ROM”.
My question is which step i need to follow and which step i can ignore? In other word, where do i start?
Regards
Wong
Skip HSPL 2.08 and radio 2.15 if you already installed them. Install the rest that you don’t have.
Ok. So I have another question regarding the Install ClockworkMod Recovery v1.3 which partition should i use? 150MB Partition, 250MB Partition, 400MB Partition?
I did read the description and usage on each of it but i do not understand which one should I choose. Any recommendation? or the 400MB would be the best?
Regards
Wong
150MB for this CM7 ROM.
Thanks Jayce. So last question before i start to flash it. Regarding the EXT3 partition on SD Card. What is the usage of EXT3?
I have 2GB Storage SD Card. So which one should I choose? 128M, 256M, 512M, 1024M?
oh ya, last one, my SD card should remain and do not need to format it right? before i start to flash this CM7 ROm
Regards
Wong
Read this – https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-create-ext3-partition-on-sd-card-with-clockworkmod-recovery-video/
Then decide for yourself on the EXT3 size. 2GB SD card is quite small to me. 😛
No need to format SD card.
So from the post it say to the EXT3 is use to store all the apps you have downloaded?
I think 1024M should be good enough for my 2gb memory card. hehe
Yup, most of the apps.
Hi Jayce,
Link download is dead.
http://www.smartqmid.com/typhoon/TyphooN_CM7_v3.5.4-MAGLDR.zip

Hey jayce..
This is a really good rom! I use it since 4 weeks ago.. and it is the best rom i tried.. But i have 2 questions.. my gps is not loading.. I have iGO navigation and it searches for a gps signal but it can’t find ( and my gps is on). And since yesterday when I hold the touchscreen when I am at the backround, normally there would come a option menu with you can add widgets and like that stuff but now not anymore. The only thing what happends is a small vibrate and thats it.. no option menu or something.. can you help me?
Look like your Android OS is not stable. Try to hard reset it if can.
PROBLEM SOLVED….
I have installed GO launcher. After the installation you can open the option menu on the backround..
And Today I have tried the gps.. GPS can take a while.. max. 7 min. If it takes longer you can turn it off and then on. Try to get to another place if it isn’t working… but thanks jayce! You helped a lot! Now I gonna enjoy Android on my HTC HD2 B-)
hello i get this error when i open market
The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly.
Look like bad Android OS installation. Try to install it again.
should i just simple install again froom magldr or should i erase cache and data first?
