Who want to try out Odin3 v3.09? Yes, Odin3 v3.09 is the latest Samsung flashing tool for Android devices. Galaxy Series devices like Galaxy S2, S3, S4 or Note 2 are working. You can use it to flash firmware, modem, bootloader, CSC, kernel… Rooting is possible thanks to Odin program too. It is a Windows application, so Linux and Mac users need to use Windows emulator to use it. Any new features on this Odin 3.09? Well, there are AutoStart and Binary Size. And Bootloader, PDA and PHONE were changed to BL, AP and CP.

Note – You need to install Samsung Kies first in order to use Odin because Samsung Android devices need its USB drivers. Else Odin can’t detect them in Odin Download Mode. But do ensure Samsung Kies is not opened or loaded in system tray when using Odin.

    I have downloaded this version from your link and noticed that it’s almost same, so if 3.07 do the job then i don’t need v3.09 !!

    I brought a used Samsung Galaxy S2, it was 1 year 5 days old, i used it for a week, one day while using its hang in the middle, so i removed the battery, after installing battery i was showing only the brand name like Samsung Galaxy S2, when i showed it to the service center they said the mother board is gone & u need to replace it cost u around Rs:10000/-, i have tried all ur suggestions , but its dead, so if i need to go for the new mother board how much it cost , can i get it in cheap price & where can i get it. PLEASE HELP ME

  4. @jayce, i use odin flash cwm 6.0.3.2 but i can’t boot up cwm instead stock recovery shown up. i wanna flash cm10.2 but problem is that i was unable to go into cwm at all.

    Need your advise. I bought SG3 from China, the model number is GT-I9300.
    The problem is No Play Store, so i wanted to ask you, can this rooting, flashing, and changing CSC (sorry, i’m a newbie) can solve my problem?

    I can use all other function (i also have SG2), including Kies with no problem.

  6. Hey Jayce,

    I was trying to flash a new operating system onto my phone after rooting it, but all of a sudden my computer doesn’t recognize it as a device in download mode. Because of this, Odin v 1.85 doesn’t recognize it in download mode either. When the phone is on, it will recognize it. I downloaded the drivers for my galaxy s3 a few times and restarted my computer. Do you know what I can do?

  7. Where can I download firmware 4.4.1 For an ATT SIII and S4 phone. I do NOT want to go to 4.4.2 since they eliminated the ability to turn off/disable running apps. My goal is a clean phone without all of the ATT crap! Like installing a clean windows OS after buying a new computer. I have installed Kies V3

    I have samsung gt n7100 and when i m trying to install philz using odin v 3.07, it is not getting rooted and when i get into downloading mode, the android mode recovery appears. Pls help

  10. Hi.. can you help me.
    I’m using Galaxy Tab 8.9 (PT-7300)
    Yesterday I tried to update the firmwire using Kies 2.6.214014_7, in the middle of updating suddenly my tab died because the battery. Then when I fully charge my tab, I tried to continue my update, but the tab can’t get into the booting proses, it keeps loading at the “Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9” screen for many hours.

    So I tried to factory reset using Power Button and the Volume button key, but after reboot the system it still no changing. It’s stuck there :(.

    So now I tried to use the other menu such as “Downloading ODIN3 (Protocol v3.1)” and it says “waiting for USB Cable”, my USB cable is plug already and the Kies failed to connect 🙁

    Can you help me out here.. what should I do?

    Greeting! i have some questions if u ever encounter with IMEI issue after flashing official firmware? On my wife N7100, it came on sudden after my wife accidentally hit the “update” button on the phone. it can boot normally, but it has the weird or fake imei with 0044XXXXXX. So i came out to root the phone to do some imei repair, but i have no luck. A few method i’ve been using and give me a “no go”. flash back to official firmware also giving me the same result… currently running MIUI and it has been a expensive media player ever since hahahha

  15. hi, i have the samsung galaxy note 3 sm-n9005 model and its stil on android 4.3, i cant seem to update to even 4.4 before considering 5.0, each time i run check for updates, it says update available and i download succesfully but its when it comes to installling the updates that it crashes always at about 26%, everytime. please what can i do to get this sorted, i want to move with the world on all updates. thanks

      • i was trying to update using OTA, i was trying to get odin to do then i discovered i’m at a disadvantge because i have a macbook, is there any way round this becuase kies does not seem to work also. thanks for your response

          • i came to a friend who has a windows pc and i want to try the odin update but i’m a bit worried, the problem is that with kies, when i connect, it comes up with my phone sm-n9005 but keep showing the connecting and never show the phone details and later ask for a reconnection because of an error or visit the samsung service centre if it continues, if i do the manual boot to use the odin and it fails to load will i stil have the phone working as it is before or it will wipe off the old os, so i dont render the phone useless because of an update, the phone works fine as it is now just want to update it. thanks

              • i actually did it and i managed to get the lollipop running on the phone with the windows, but another problem came up, will be glad if you can advise on how o resolve it. the phone has refused to recognised any sim i’m trying now like its locked to a different network, please how do i get this to work with any network all over the world. the lollipop is actually very nice and worth the stress, but i need the phone to work and not just have it like a wifi tab ipad only. lol. thanks

                  • Hmmm, i think i know what caused the issue now, after getting my phone into the boot mode to use ODIN, it gave me the error message of failed every time and the phone was dead on the boot mode, then i got this PIT file to use in PIT in ODIN to load the lollipop which it worked, but also must have erased the EFS file as u suggested might be the problem, is there a way i can reload the EFS back to the sysem. thanks.

    Even with the installation of latest kids.
