    • No, unless your existing firmware is based on Poland too. It will remove SiyahKernel. Nope, official firmware is non wipe (unless you face issue and need to factory reset).

    • Please dont update the 4.1 version for S-III device it will voids the warranty, i request you please wait untill u recieve notification form the carrier all updates are developed by samsung & carries so dont trust thrid party updates. And dont suffer later

    it’s me again. Last time was followed ur guideline and I did rooted my s3.

    I nvr flash any custom firmware just because waiting for THIS! and thanks God, finally it released.

    My question is, as I told you, I rooted the device. So should I un-root it and then only follow the guideline given above to flash this stock JB?

    Would you mind checking the link again coz I’m getting this error when I try to DL the firmware, “This file does not exist, the access to the following file is limited or it has been removed due to infringement of copyright.”

    Also is it ok to install this via Odin even though I have this build IMM76D.I9300UBBLG2 (which I’m confuse where this unit come from..:P I thought my device is from UK)

  9. Hi i’ve just rooted my 4.04 ics, now i’ve got the official jellybean update prompt.
    After i download it and accept the terms my device boots into CWM-based recovery menu.

    How do i get it to update to 4.1.1? Should i just follow this guide and use the rom in the link you’ve provided? Thanks

  10. Hello, if i install the poland version on my Galaxy S3 will i lose reception etc. i have a different build number and baseband because i am from Australia. Can i still install this firmware without losing reception.

    so far i only root my s3 and install siyah kernel but i tried all the ways from net and few labtops and cables , my skies still stuck at connecting stage and i even uninstall my skies already but the problem still persist , is that the only way is i install official update through Odin flashing when sammobile release the Jellybean for XME ? Thank for advice

          Dev Rom like Check Rom HD xx seems interesting but i wonder after flashing that , can the stock rom certain apps being kept (do wipe needed?) and if nope , can chinese character keyboard be installed to the Check Rom and will flashing the CHeck rom affect the avaibility of S3 to enjoy promotional free apps from samsung ? Will different like Modem: XXDLIB which may different our Malaysian Region affect the function of the phone ? Thank you

          • CheckROM is custom ROM based on Samsung Firmware. So most of the Samsung apps and features are there (you can install with KitchenPro manually).

            Check with ROM chef on need to wipe or not.

            Yes, CheckROM support Samsung Apps.

            Modem only affect signal. No effect to other functions.

    Firstly please dont mind my ignorance as this is my first android phone so i dont know anything about it ! 🙁 I live in new zealand and i bought this phone online just 3 days ago. The instruction manual was in another (european) language, the “baseband” : I9300XXLH1 and the “build number” is : IMM76D.I9300XXBLH1 . Please tell me if this means my warranty will be void if i do the upgrade like above or if it is ok. I tried to search but i cant find where my phone is from. Also if i do the process anyway can i change the new firmware to my old firmware for warranty problems with kies suit on my computer? thank you in advance for answering my many questions!!!

  19. Hi there, I just updated to the 4.1.1 Jellybean software of Poland. I am wondering how do I flash back to my previous 4.0.4 ICS? Do I just download the firmware and reflash it using odin or do a factory reset?

    I would like to ask in the event the jelly bean software for my own region were to be released and at the point I have already applied the jelly bean update for a different region, can I just flash it directly to my phone via ODIN since it’s the same Android Version? I’m on the polish version and the localised singapore version would arrive soon.

  28. Hey my phone comes up on kies as sgh-i747m and says there is no update if thats the name does that mean that its not an i9300 and i cant get the update?

  29. tested and my S3 working like a charm with Jelly Bean. Since Samsung already roll out Jelly Bean in Polland for Galaxy Note, do you think that same process will work with Note?

  30. Hi Jayce Ooi, i hv update 4.1.1 my S3(ICS not rooted) through OTA (over the air) without factory reset. I only got one big problem. Go Settings, Application Manager, it will display details for 4 seconds +-,then it display ” Unfortunately, Settings has stopped”. I cannot use Application Manager at all. Can you help give me some hints .Thank you Jayce Ooi.

  31. Hi Jayce ,i m from malaysia and i have updated to 4.1.1 thru kies . it took me about 30 minutes . So far no issue , jus keep my finger cross….

      • Hi gab , i really dunno where is the link for the firmware ,i dl kies from samsung site , update it and connect my fone thru usb and my laptop and automatically it will direct me to dl the latest firmware I9300DXDLI5…I hope it helps…

  32. Hi jaycee.. I’ve rooted my sgs3 a while ago. Then last night i update my firmware to 4.1.1 jb via KIES. Ia this will automatically unroot my phone? Before i update my firmware i use OTA rootkeepeer to unroot my device temporarily. After i root, i still find my rootes apps installed on my phone, but it cant work just like my phone isn.’t rooted. Is this mean my device has been unrootwd automatically? Thanks btw!

    i bought s3 its base band is I9300XXLH1, it came with manual written in Persian. i live in Pakistan. when i connect to samsung kies it shows this the latest version along with PDA/Phone/CSC and (THR). now tell me what is the region of my phone and when i ll be able to get update of Jelly bean?

    My S3 base band is I9300XXLFB, upon connecting to KIES, my latest firmware says PDA:LFB / PHONE:LFB / CSC:LF3 (AFR), by the way I live in the Philippines. Is the latest firmware of my phone and my region compatible? Am I able to update my S3 either from KIES or OTA?

    when I use the *#1234# step, I get these
    AP: I9300XXALE9
    CP: unknown
    CSC: I9300OJVALE9.
    What do u suggest me to do in order to update to Jb.. thanks in Advance

    • Hi Anil, check with Samsung Kies see got update or not. If no, wait for official release. Else you can install it manually with Odin – the unofficial way.

        Anyways, Please suggest, what is the best solution of getting updated w/o Rooting.. I am not a Tech/Geek Guy. I have downloaded Kies on my System & mobile. but they fail to connect. How to check for the suitable Kies update.

  37. Hi Jayce, I installed the XXDLIB version but was wondering if there will be any effect on my S3 since I’m in Malaysia? Are the XXDLIB and Malaysian versions (with DX in the build number) essentially the same?

    I am not sure that my following question makes any sense.
    Is there any way to change firmware of phone to get regional compatibility?
    I mean I have SGS3 GT-I9300 with THR(IRAN) latest firmware updated on it and I live in INDIA, so is there any way by which I can change my firmware XXLH1 to some Indian firmware release e.g.DDLI7.
    Please reply, I just want to do this to be able to get regional updates by Samsung Kies.

    Thanks for the nice posts. I have a similar problem like semir. I upgraded my S3 to Jelly Bean (Build Number: I9300XXDLK1) last week and since then my stock camera is not working. It exits out to home screen saying “Unfortunately, camera stopped”. I did a factory reset and still I am facing the problem. Do you have any alternative method to solve this problem. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
