Besides root access, ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) is a must have utility for my Android devices. You can perform stuffs like backup & restore with Nandroid, install custom ROM, kernel, modification and mount external SD card as storage. If you like to customize Samsung Galaxy Note II, CWM is a must have for you too. You can try lot of custom Samsung Galaxy Note 2 ROM with it.
There are 3 types of ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 there…
- CWM Recovery (flash via odin – tar format)
- CWM Recovery (flash via CWM Recovery – zip format)
- CWM Recovery with auto root.
Which one should I choose?
- is for those have root access but no CWM.
- is for those have root access and CWM. This will upgrade existing CWM.
- is for those don’t have root access and CWM.

Factory reset with recovery. Then install stock firmware back with Odin.
I have galaxy note 2 i317 AT&T version. I have unrooted my phone but still have CWM recovery left. How I can remove that. I am new to this. I was able to retrive firmware for my device from samsung open source site but not sure how to deploy or flash back to my i317 model using odin. Can you please help or guide.
Sorry bill, I don’t have i317 model. No idea. Please consult others with same model at XDA Forum.

“recovery my old firmware” What do you mean?
Hi,
Any chance of a CWM Recovery for the Galaxy Note II LTE GT-N7105…?
Cheers,,
J.
Some said this version also work on N7105.
It doesn’t work on the LTE version.
Hmm… You can try to consult the person who said it work at XDA Forum.
Find me a link and I will.
In the meantime, I have paid for the premium version of ROM Manager…and it doesn’t work.
In fact, not only doesn’t it work, but there is no support for the Note II LTE GT-N7105. Only 3 Recovery files are offered for download and none of them is right for this phone.
Link is at the article.
By the way, ROM Manager does not work on custom CWM like this (only work for official CWM). Can you boot into CWM?
Yes I can.
Dear Jayce,
the file i downloaded was option 1 (CWM Recovery (flash via odin – tar format). but once after i extract the zipped file, i cant found the tar. file , instead a img. file … help please.
Thanks
Hi Teng, use 7-Zip to extract.
