Everything comes well-protected just like Creative Pebble V2 that I own. Once taken out the Pebble V3, there are USB-C to USB-A converter and some warranty info guides. Yes, a quick start guide (in multiple languages) is included this round. Be sure to go through it to know more about Pebble.
Excellent build quality as usual. Rock solid and sturdy plastic housing. It retains the same stylish and modern design as V2. Just slightly bigger in size this time. It is loaded with 2.25″ full range speaker driver compared to V2’s 2″. In addition, it has a single USB-C cable which provides both audio and power. For older devices, you can use you own AUX cable for audio and USB-C cable for power just like V2 model.
Performance Result
Creative Pebble V3 is loaded with USB DAC. In short, everything is processed by itself. Just plug it to your Windows PC or Mac, and start to enjoy all your favourite music then. By the way, Android devices are supported too. As usual, Pebble will be in high gain mode automatically when plugged into a 10W USB-C port. Getting 8W RMS and peak power of up to 16W then. For USB-A port, you need to change the gain switch to H manually. Blue LED light for that. And green colour for normal mode.
Outstanding Bluetooth range! All thanks to latest Bluetooth 5.0 chipset. Yes, Pebble can reach up to 8m+ with obstacles like wall easily. In addition, it has virtually no lag between video and audio. This is great news for those who love to play games, watch movie on your smartphone and tablet.
16W can easily fill up the whole large quiet room. More than enough when you are close to it usually. Yes, that’s the passive radiator for more bass.
This gain switch is located at bottom of Pebble. Surrounded by the round anti-skid pad. Yes, Pebble will remain stable even on the loudest volume. Let’s it rock your world all day long…
Sound Quality
Creative Pebble V3 has ultra clear and bright sound signature. In short, it is almost like V2. Slightly brighter this round due to newly added Clear Dialog audio processing technique. Therefore, you have very bright and crisp treble. Bass is there as usual but not subwoofer kind of bass level. For details, highs are ultra sharp and clean. Very bright and crisp. It brings up a lot of details especially in musical instruments like trumpet, violin and cymbals as usual. For mids, vocals are getting the same treatment. Very clean and clear. Great for those who love to have clear dialogue in TV drama. Lows are there but barely. Wish that it has deeper and powerful bass. But giving for its small housing, can’t request much. Hopefully, Creative will release a new version Creative Pebble Plus that combine Pebble V3 with a dedicated subwoofer soon. That’s will be a perfect combo!
