I don’t have any Sony smartphone or tablet. Will I get the latest Sony Xperia Z1? Hmm… Again I don’t think so. Same apply to Sony QX100 and QX10 Smartphone Attachable Lens-style Camera due to high pricing. I really like the concept but I rather buy Sony RX100 MKII itself since I need to carry another device already with my smartphone. Anyway, that does not stop us to try out the software from Sony, right? So here you are – Sony Walkman from Xperia Z1. Enjoy the best of Sony Xperia Z1 on your Android smartphone.

Official Android 4.3 Firmware for Galaxy S4 (I9500 & I9505)

Rejoice… The official Android 4.3 firmware for Samsung Galaxy S4 (both I9500 and I9505) is here. Yes, you can enjoy the latest and greatest Android 4.3 features and improvements from Samsung. However, it does bring one thing that I don’t prefer – KNOX support (which is not friendly with root access and custom modification = warranty void). So far we can’t reverse KNOX status now. The implementation is already in Galaxy Note 3 and pushing to Galaxy S4 latest firmware now. So far, India, Indonesia, Russia and Vietnam already received the update. Malaysia should come soon…

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) users can download more free Android applications and games from Samsung Apps now. Yup, it is categorized as Lifestyle Pack. Good to have these freebies, right? Okay, here is the catch – most of them are free in Google Play Store already except Oxford Advanced Learner’s A-Z Dictionary. However, that’s not full version as well. There is in-app purchase to do so. Anyway, feel free to have a look around in Samsung Apps when you are free.

Download CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM for Galaxy S4 GT-I9500

Finally, here is CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM for Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500. It is not the official ROM from CM Team. But good for those who can’t wait and want to have a taste of latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S4 I9500. Most of the stuffs are working fine. Example, you can make / receive call and SMS. Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and Google applications are working. No luck on camera and sound quality for the moment. But rest assures that all these bugs will be fixed in later release. Don’t expect much from alpha build, right?

Multi window is one of the useful features in Samsung Galaxy devices. Yes, you definitely want to use it on Galaxy Note 3 with large 5.7″ screen. Perform 2 tasks at once. Checking messages while watching YouTube videos. Or browse 2 webpages. Email while go through photos in the Gallery. Lot of tasks can be done in this multitasking mode. And not to worry about performance as powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM are more than enough to do so. Work in both landscape and portrait mode. My favourite – perform the primary task while enjoying music video…
