Yeah… You can access your computer from your Android device securely with Chrome Remote Desktop now. Not to limit yourself on Chrome browser or Chromebook anymore. Access Windows and Mac OS with your Android smartphone and tablet. Too bad, it is not available on Malaysia yet. Anyway, just try it out to find out that it work for you or not. Remember to install Chrome Remote Desktop app from Chrome Web Store on your computer first.
Root access is a must have for Android devices. That’s what I always say. Xiaomi Android device has root access natively actually. However, it is disabled on stable ROM (enabled on beta ROM). Same apply to Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Just load the Security application, then go to Permission. You will find out that Root permission tab is grey out. Luckily, we can re-enable the root access back on stable ROM. And it is very easy to do so.
I am using PhilZ CWM Touch for quite some time on my Samsung Galaxy devices. I love it. And why not try it on Xiaomi Redmi 1S, right? Yes, you can do so also. By the way, PhilZ Touch is an advanced version of CWM and has lot of nice features. You can use it to install custom ROM, make a full system backup (and restore it) and lot more. However, good stuff does not last long. Yup, Phil is not going to update and support this CWM anymore. But you still can try it anyway…
You can enjoy latest and greatest Google OS ~ Android L on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) officially. However, Google did not make an official one for older Nexus devices like Nexus 4. But the community had done it for all of us. Well, the Android L is a developer preview OS. Therefore, it should have bugs. Not to mention this Nexus 4 ROM which ported from it. It might have even more bugs flying around. However, if you happen to have CWM or TWRP installed on your Nexus 4, no harm to try it. Just make a backup first…
Yeah… There is a new mode in Samsung Galaxy S5 that I like – Kids Mode. Perfect for children that like to play with phone. They have their own store to download applications and games. Cute camera UI and drawing app too. Keep the fun for them and allow the safe content only too. XDA user manages to get it working on Galaxy Note 3. I believe Galaxy S4 should work too.
