Want to try the latest and greatest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S III? You are in luck today. XDA Developer, Faryaab created an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Samsung Galaxy S3 from Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean OTA. And it is using modified CM9 Kernel. One thing to take note. This is a very early build. So far on the first version that I tried. These functions are working ~ ADB, touchscreen, hardware acceleration, notification LED, cellular radio (but no audio so no calls), physical buttons, SMS, accelerometer and charging. There rest of the stuffs is not working like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, audio, camera, MTP, storage… Anyway, you can give it a try and have a feel of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S3. Note – don’t try it with external SD card plug in. Else it will be corrupted.
Use NFC feature on your Samsung Galaxy S4 most of the time? This NFC screen locked / off mod will ease your life then. No need to turn on and unlock Galaxy S4 in order to use NFC function. Just put your smartphone near NFC device or tag will do. Working when screen if locked or off. There are several firmwares are supported on both odexed and deodexed like XXUBMF4, XXUBMF8, JUBMG3, XUBMGA, XUBMG1 and CUAMF3. More to come…
