It is still based on latest Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Both modem and CSC were upgraded to DXLEA and OLBLE6. What are the changes or any new improvements? As usual, Samsung did not provide a change log. So no idea. Let me know when you find out…
There is a new firmware update for Samsung Galaxy S III in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam region. Samsung is pushing OTA update on Samsung Galaxy S3 more frequent lately. Better than HTC which was well known for fast OTA update. I am still waiting for the latest update for my HTC One X which removes the annoying 3 dots menu soft button. Months of waiting and still nothing… Anyway, what are the new features or changes in Samsung Galaxy S3 XXBLH1 Firmware? Let’s me know after you upgraded yours.
Yeah… Samsung Galaxy S III users at Singapore and Malaysia can celebrate today because there is a new Samsung Galaxy S3 XXBLG1 Firmware Upgrade for you. But not for me as I am using custom ROM ~ CheckROM EvoHD which based on XXBLFB Firmware (Europe). And this XXBLG1 Firmware Upgrade should have the same features added to XXBLFB Firmware like special effect on camera and auto brightness bar in notification. By the way, XXBLG1 Firmware also has updated modem and CSC to DXLF3 and OLBBLF1.
Android is an open source platform. And I love it that way. Because I can enjoy latest and greatest Android OS version, features, enhancements, modifications, tweaks and hacks unofficially by 3rd party developers. Yes, you will get software update / firmware upgrade even official manufacturer stops supporting your Android devices. Just take Amazon Kindle Fire as example. Amazon did not update it for quite some time but I still can enjoy the latest Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on Kindle Fire. And plus lot of nice features like OTG, access to Google Play Store… Same apply to the legendary HTC HD2.
Yeah… Samsung Galaxy Note II is the latest gadget at JayceOoi.com. I managed to grab Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at Celcom Outlet @ Bangunan KWSP, Penang. Well, I was 20+th of the first 50 customers when I arrived at Celcom Branch, Penang on 11:35am. Therefore, I got free Samsung Galaxy Note 2 flip casing and RM 40 KFC vouchers. Too bad that the flip case is not the original Samsung flip case but generic local brand ~ Sun-U Verus. Don’t think it worth RM 149 and have to wait for 2 weeks to collect it (no ready stock there).
