You can’t find much bloatware on Google Nexus series. But this is not the case for carrier or other brand Android devices. Usually, they are loaded with several bloatwares (applications that you don’t need and use at all). Same apply to Samsung Galaxy S4. There are some applications that I do use use at all. And you can’t uninstall them using the normal way because they are system applications. But you can disable them and stop them from using your precious CPU and memory resources. Well, this method does not remove bloatware totally but have the same effect. Why? You can’t use system storage anyway even after actually removed those bloatware from system storage. Therefore, disable and remove are the same to me (unless you manage to reduce system partition and increase data partition manually).
How to unlock Galaxy S4 SIM for free?
I have a factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500. The question ~ How to unlock Galaxy S4 SIM for free? does not matter me at all. However, some of you might need to know the answer. This SIM unlock method seems to work on Samsung Galaxy Series. Too bad that I can’t hand-on to try it myself. But that does not stop you from trying it. It works on Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 model. Not sure about GT-I9500 model. Anyway, just try it to find out. Nothing to lose because you don’t need root access to do so.
How to check Galaxy S4 CPU temperature?
How to check Samsung Galaxy S4 CPU temperature? A simple question but no easy answer. So far I can’t find any Android application at Google Play Store that can display Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 CPU temperature. All of them are displaying battery temperature instead. This is not what I want. Luckily, I discovered that Samsung has its own application to do so. Not so user friendly but it does the job ~ show Galaxy S4 CPU temp. It is able to show Exynos 5 Octa CPU temp. It should work for GT-I9505 Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 too.
How to enable USB mass storage on Galaxy S4?
Yes, you can enable USB mass storage on Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500, GT-I9505, SGH-I747M, SGH-M919 and SGH-I337) now. Thanks to SG USB Mass Storage Enabler. Just like SGS3 Easy UMS application, it supports external micro SD card as USB mass storage only (can’t mount internal storage). Furthermore, it supports exFAT partition too (FAT32 definitely will work then). Working great on my 64GB Samsung microSDXC Pro UHS-1 Card. As expected, read and write speed from USB mass storage won’t be as fast as card reader due to Galaxy S4 does not support UHS-I standard. Note – root access is needed.
How to swap Galaxy S4 internal and external storage?
Where is ext2int mod for Samsung Galaxy S4? I want to swap Galaxy S4 internal storage and external SD card. Yes, we all know that 16GB Galaxy S4 has lesser usable user storage compare to Galaxy S3. And it is surely not enough for gamers. Most of the Gameloft games are in 1 GB of size. Some even more. Well, you are out of luck for the moment. There is no ext2int mod for Galaxy S4 yet. Furthermore, I don’t recommend using it on Galaxy S4 personally. Why? Galaxy S4 internal NAND memory is 6 times faster than external SD card on reading and 3 times on writing. Therefore, your Galaxy S4 will be a lot slower if you do so.
