Package Content & Design
There are AudioBox BBX T1000, 3.5mm audio cable, micro USB cable for charging and user manual in the package. That’s all. Just go through the guide and start to use the speaker.
Build quality is decent with sturdy plastic as housing. No complain here. And comes with nice and colourful spectrum design as you can see. Light and portable by the way.
Basically, you have all the buttons and inputs on one side.
And another side is the 2.5″ speaker driver.
The bottom legs do not have any rubber to provide grip. Just plain plastic…
Performance Result
AudioBox BBX T1000 Bluetooth wireless coverage is average. Yes, it easily exceeds the standard 10m Bluetooth range in straight sight line with no obstacle. But up to 5m only with obstacles like walls. No worry, just use it within room will be okay. And the best part – it has virtually no lag between video and audio. That’s great to use it for movie and games on your mobile devices. As usual, 3.5mm AUX line-in port is there for devices without Bluetooth connectivity.
13 hours of non-stop music playback is what I get from its 800mAh lithium battery. As usual, tests were done with average room sound level. And battery life will be shorter when play louder at maximum level. For self-charging, it takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge.
BBX T1000 will start to play MP3 song once plugged in USB flash drive. Breakpoint memory feature is supported where it will continue to playback the last song and at the place that left off after power off or USB drive was ejected. That’s great. As for FM radio, I can’t seem to get it to work properly. The guide mentioned signal reception can be improved by plug in audio cable to AUX-in port as external antenna. But no luck there too.
Great sound quality for its price. Yes, enjoy loud and clear quality sound from AudioBox BBX T1000. Clean treble with nice bass (toward bright sound signature by the way). Thanks to the barrel design, it manages to blast in a large quiet room. And almost no distortion even on maximum volume setting. That’s great.
Advantages
- Clear sound with nice bass
- Built-in MP3 player (USB & microSD)
- Great battery life
- Decent build quality
- Light & portable
Limitations
- Poor FM radio reception
Conclusion
Budget Bluetooth barrel speaker with nice sound that you want to get. Period. Sound great for its price. And super loud too. More information can be found at AudioBox Website. Get yours at Lazada.
hi, Jayce Ooi
my dad bought this yesterday but 1 hour ago before dinner he came to me with 3 thumb drives 1GB, 4GB, 8GB. he ask me to check his 3 thumb drives to see if it is working, i plug each of them one at a time on to my computer and all 3 seem to be working so i told him it working all 3. i ask him what the problem he told me he bought this AudioBox BBX T1000 yesterday, since then he’s been using 4GB thumb drive on it and it working find but when he switch to the 1GB and 8GB thumb drive it didn’t work, it detect the 1GB and 8GB thumb drive but it couldn’t read them.
so i try them out it was just what my dad say. i have a portable radio with a usb plug on it so i try all 3 thumb drives on my portable radio one by one and all 3 work, i then try again on this AudioBox BBX T1000, it the same result it can only play the 4GB thumb drive but not the 1GB and 8GB thumb drive.
Are all of them formatted FAT32?
