Yes, always backup all photos and videos from your mobile device. You can copy / move them to home PC or store them in cloud storage. Do remember to backup them because accident might happen which your mobile device is lost or stolen. All your precious memory in photos and videos will be gone as well. Therefore, always make a backup copy. Luckily, Google makes our life easier by giving us Google Photos application which has photo and video auto backup ability for free. Yup, you can choose unlimited cloud storage available at high quality or store up to 15GB original size for free. Personally, I recommend using unlimited cloud storage as it support up to 16 megapixels (MP) photo quality which is more than enough for most mobile devices out there. Google Photos’ backup function is not activated by default even though it was installed on your device. You need to sign in first and turn backup on in order for the backup function to proceed.
