CyanogenMod 7 should be the best Android ROM for HTC HD2 (MIUI too). It is faster than HTC Sense builds. Besides, it is smaller in size too so you can have more internal storage disk space. HyperDroid v3 is based on CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC0 (Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread) and using seader_R5 Kernel. As usual, it has strange LCD density. It increased to 192 from 167 DPI on v3 which is better but might still be small for certain people like me. Personally, the smallest DPI that I can accept on HTC HD2 is 220…

Note – make sure that you change ro.sf.lcd_density=192 to 240 at build.prop (system folder) before you install the ROM if you want normal screen density.

Hi Jayce
I am facing the problem while copying this ROM to my SD card. I used the Mass Storage option in the boot loader and tried to copy to SD card. After a while(30 %), it stops for a long time.
I downloaded the same file 3 times already and formatted the SD card also. Is there any problem with the above download link.
The download link is working fine. Try to use SD card reader to copy.
Hi Jayce,
I am getting the below error message: pls advice
–Installing: /sdcard/HyperDroidCM7.zip
Finding update package…
opening update package…
Installing update…
Installation aborted.
Try to extract the zip file at PC. Make sure the downloaded zip file is okay.
I did like that also. but not working. should there be any update folder as the error message shows?
Nope. The installation process is the same as the guide.
Hi Jayce,
I managed to install it finally. But i did not find factory reset option in android. Any other way?
Use CWM to wipe data and cache.
sorry. i found it.
Hi Jayce,
I changed the density setting from 192 to 240. To do that i extracted the folder, opened the prop file and changed the value from 192 to 240.
Then i zipped the whole thing and copied to the sd card. and tried to install from sd card. I am getting the error message:
–Installing: /sdcard/HyperDroidCM7.zip
Finding update package…
opening update package…
Installing update…
Installation aborted.
But when i copy just the downloaded zip file(192) as it is, it is installing.
Is there any problem in the extracting and zipping. i used both zip and 7 zip also.
I also tried to change the density value using the method you mentioned in the following link. I put the settings (read write and file permissions also). I opened the file with Jot text editor and then changed the value to 240. but when i tried to save, Jot text editor says couldn’t save the file……
Use 7-Zip internal Edit function (F4). Edit then save.

I follow the steps above, and everything works except when I make phone calls I get the robotic voice. I have a HTC HD2 (T-Mobile). Appreciate any info so I can actually make phone calls.
Which HSPL and radio version are you using?
Using hspl 2.08 and radio version 2.15.50.14.
Yup, that’s correct. Maybe this Android ROM is not suitable for you. Try others see.
Hi Jayce,
I’m a newbie at this flashing stuff but I’m finally ready to put droid on my hd2. Which is the best option this or pongster’s HyperDroidGBX?
The best build is depended on your own need. Try them all then decide yourself.
Dear Jayce ,
How could we change the density befor istallation the Rom ? is that mean we use the existing Rom befor installation new one , if that so the density will be saved ? may you clarify it for me plz ?
Regards,
I use 7-Zip internal Edit function (F4). Edit then save.
what is the partition for this ROM ?
150MB
hallo,i have instal w7 on my htc hd2 and my sd card is locked (card reader cant see it,only my phone can)
if i instal CWM can i format sd card from my phone so i can instal android rom
or i need to buy new sd card?
i try to unlock it (sd card) but i fail
I did not test with CWM. I unlocked it with WP7. You can try CWM first.
i instal w7 7004 then i remove sd card and instal w till 7392 and then i insert sd and card work normal so i finish instaling 7720 mango…afther that i mange to unlock sd and format one part of sd for andorid
so now i have mango and android on hd2 but every time i start mango i need to unlock card before i start android
this rom for t mobile ?
If not mistaken, T-Mobile HD2 can use all international HTC HD2 ROM since it has larger 1GB ROM. But HTC HD2 can’t use T-Mobile HD2 ROM because of smaller 512MB ROM only.
Anyway, do consult ROM chef at XDA for confirmation.
Note – make sure that you change ro.sf.lcd_density=192 to 240 at build.prop (system folder) before you install the ROM if you want normal screen density. Change at phone ,or the zip file bro
thank ,i get it … but i want ask can change after install rom ?bcz its is 1st rom i install
Yes, but change before install is easier.
so mean i want install other rom 1st ,then change lcd 192 to 240 ,then install hybrid rom loo
No. Edit the file on PC first. Then install it.
