Download BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.4 NAND Android A2SD+ Zip ROM for HTC HD2

XDA Developer, boyppc has lot of good Android builds for HTC HD2. They are CM7 Sense.s, CM7 HoneyComB, MIUI, Desire HD and HTC Sense 2.1 & 3.0 builds. Most of them are updated to the latest Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread except HTC builds. I took Ginger 2.3.4 HoneyComB as testing. And Google Talk with video and voice chats is working. Be sure to check out XDA website for other builds.

  1. Hi!

I am facing a unique problem, while trying to update from version 2.3.3 using clockwork mod. In mgldr option I shifted zip file of 2.3.4 using mass storage option. I could see zip file on PC, but while I try to use option 2 of ad SD I . I could not find zip file….how to resolve

  2. Hi,

I’ve got a question about a certain file, i downloaded and installed the android rom, but after installing 2 or 3 apps my internal memory is full. With Astro file manager i found a huge file, 174 MB. I’ts called squashed. Deleting this file would create a lot of space for apps but will it affect the rest of the software? Or is it okay to delete the file?

    • That should be Android system files. Don’t delete it. Try to use Android ROM that come along A2SD+ so that applications can be installed at SD card directly.

i am a fan of yours..from your site only i was able to change my hd2 from windows to android…
Installed gpc android 2.3.2 which is available in your site…i had a problem with video recording..so i am changing it…
    i have few questions:

1-what is the use of changing the radio version?i already have 2.12.50.02_2 in my hd2 gingerbread

2-what happens if frequently ROMs are changed?

3-which android 2.3.4 is better n best.?..typhoon cynogenmod 7 v3.2.1 or BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.4? whats the differnce between these two?

4-Is video recording is working properly in both these ROMs??

    • 1. Some radio version performs better on certain ROM and telco. I am using 2.15.

      2. No issue (at least for me as you can see I tried lot of ROMs already).

      3. It is depend on your preference. Personally, I am using Typhoon CM7 now.

      4. Typhoon CM7 video recording is working. I did not test BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA…

  15. Hi jayce, i,ve installed boyppc-shiftpda ginger honeycomb 2.3.4 and i’m found that some of the app and games can’t download on the market. How to fix it?

  16. Hi Jayce,

Many many thanks for the information. You have trained me to install ROMs on my HD2.

I have a simple question regarding the subject ROM as where can I find Google Talk for video chats? I cant find it anywhere :-S

      • No, it don’t have it. I am on V37.

There are some instructions in the XDA thread mentioned as

If you use a clean CM7 rom, you may have noticed that Google Talk is not included. If you still want to use the clean rom and want to install Google Talk (ex) here are the steps (you will need some empty space on System partition though – 1MB is enough):
Obtain Talk.apk (ex), you can get it from the zip file of Boyppc non clean CWR rom, it is found in the path /system/app
Using root explorer copy the file to /system/app, this is why you’ll need to have enough free space here. You may need to change the access level from R/O to R/W on the top of root explorer to allow the write operation.
change the permissions of the file to match other files there, it should become similar to this pattern:
        XX
        X
        X
Reboot your phone and your up”

        But I can’t find talk.apk anywhere :-S

Also I have just created a 1024MB EXT3 partition on my SD card using. Just wanted to confirm as if this is enough or do I need to do anything else like create data.img etc.

        Many thanks for your help.

        • Hmm… HoneyComB V21 (non clean version) has it. Not sure about future releases as I did not test them. Try the full version (non clean version) see. Google Talk should be there.

Yes, 1GB EXT3 partition is enough if you don’t have lot of apps to install. No need to create data.img for this Android ROM.

  17. Hello Jayce!

Can you please provide a link to this version?
The link on this page is dead!
    XDA is too confusing..

    I downloaded the wrong version:
    [CWR-CLEAN] BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_GINGER 2.3.4-HoneyComB Stable.V2 (18.Jul)

  18. Which one? CWR or cLK?

    [CWR-CLEAN] BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_GINGER 2.3.4-HoneyComB Stable.V2 (18.Jul)

    [cLK] BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_GINGER 2.3.4-HoneyComB Stable.V2 (18.Jul).rar

  19. Hi Jayce,
I installed this BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.4 NAND rom (v36) by DAF method,
    1.does this rom included app2sd?
2.I tried to move app to sd but only part of the app can be moved to sd, is it normal?
3.is that what ppl say EXT3 for, after doing this process can I move the whole app to sd, and how to do it?
    4. I heard ppl say it is possible to make an area of sd card for internal memory from around 200MB to 1GB 2GB or so? how to do this and is it good?
thanks for all of your help

    • 1. No idea on DAF build. But CWM has A2SD+.
      2. Yes, some minor parts of the app might still left in internal storage.
      3. You don’t have to manually move apps and data to SD card. A2SD+ does it for you automatically as it stores at EXT3 partition at SD card.
      4. Do you mean EXT3 partition?

  20. Jayce,
sorry and also for one more qs,
is that android_secure folder and those asec files are apps moving from phone to sd?
is that mean i alraedy have apptosd and no need to do extra work to make it perform better?
thanks a lot!!!! appreciate all of your help!

  21. Hi Jayce,
    Sorry if I bugged u,
at my SD card i see there is a folder call android_secure, and inside there are .asec files which they are those apps that I choose to move to sd,
    is that mean EXT3 partition?

and what I see some HD2 user shows their phone with inernal memory of 2GB or 3GB, they claim that they draw a part of SD card for internal memory, is that what you mean EXT3?
If yes, how to do it and is it good to do it?
    thanks
