One of the main issue of NAND Android build ~ lack of internal storage space. Most of the builds have only 150MB to 200MB left on NAND memory. So we need to manually move the application + data into SD card ourselves. But this changed now, there are several NAND Android builds are using DATA.IMG at SD card to act as internal storage. Further more, you can increase the image size to match your large SD card. Sooner or later most of the NAND Android builds will use this kind of method.
I tried RAFDROID HD v1.0, imilkas` HD2Z v0.1 and FutureShocks MIUI v1. RAFDROID HD is slow, imilkas` HD2Z can’t be rooted, and only FutureShocks MIUI passed my test. FutureShocks MIUI is based on Android 2.2.1 Froyo, MIUI 31-12 and using prj v0.3 Kernel. Default language is German but you can change to English during phone setup.
There is an extra step to do in order to install DATA.IMG. You need to copy .data folder to SD card root level. This build is loaded with lot of stuffs like Google Sky, Earth, Facebook, Goggles, Alkido… And I don’t feel any slowness at all. But can’t play 720p MP4 video files on this MIUI build as well…

Happy New Year. 😉
can this be installed in addition to a previous installed Rom? Is this a complete Rom in itself?
Thanks.
Nope. It will replace existing ROM.
Jayce I am trying to create more space on my device. I haven’t install anything on my phone and every rom I put on my phone it comes with 8 mb free space on my device. What am I doing wrong.
8 mb free space on my device is your SD card free space?
When I am cooking rom do I need to take my sd card out everytime?
Thanks
Nope. I put my SD card in all the time.
OK. Thanks about the SD card for putting new rom. My other question about device space. I have 9204.56MB free on my SD card and Device its only 40.56MB Total storage with 34.96 used and 5.60MB free. I am using Dexter’s The DarkOne Dec 14 edition. I have tried Enegry Rom and it’s gives me the same message device running low on storage.
Thanks for all your help.
Sorry, I did not use Windows Mobile ROM for quite sometimes. No idea on the internal storage usage. Try to ask as XDA forum.
