While waiting for MDJ FroYo Glacier v2.0, xda-developer, m-deejay released another Android ROM based on RUU HTC Desire 2.33.161.2 + Dell Streak Launcher ~ MDJ FroYo Streak Android ROM. With the latest kernel MDJ S7.7HD UTF8, you can overclock max 1500 MHz with SetCPU (I failed to go beyond 1200 MHz on Windows Mobile 6.5). Overclock will make phone battery hotter == lesser battery life. So I stay on default setting without overclocking most of the time.

Check out this video to find out more about Dell Stage Launcher.

Updated ~ m-deejay released another version based on CyanogenMod 6.1 for HTC Desire (Android 2.2.1 FRG83) + Kernel: MDJ S7.8 UTF8 == MDJ FroYo Streak Lite v1.1. And all Dell Stage Launcher’s widgets should be working now.

I have been searching for days on end for a stable build. This is the best one out there. Hardly any bugs in this build as far as I can tell. I can only find 3 things that I can’t resolve….
1. Can’t send/receive MMS messages…. I have tried 5 different APN settings… still can’t find a solution.
2. Can’t sync facebook contacts… not a big loss here
3. personalize/scenes force closes… not sure if this is a big deal either…
other than that this runs flawlessly for me. If there is a solution for sending/receiving MMS I would appreciate it. Thanks for an awesome build!!

For MMS setting, it depends on your mobile operator. Try to search for it with Google.
Well, i have tried alot of APN Settings, none are working. Recieve or sent, i keep getting the “Message Not Donwloaded” or “Unable to send message. Retrying.
sorry, probably too late in the day but want to know something. I am using this build and am pretty satisfied except for one thing. the options for Network Mode are GSM and WCDMA. I have heard that WCDMA is the basic form of 3G and will not give download speeds greater than 384kbps. while HSPA (HSUPA/HSDPA) gives speeds in MBs. but I dont find any setting in this build for HSPA. can you please help? 3G is soon getting launched in my town and wouldn’t want to lose out on the speeds because of the build. else, suggest a build that supports HSPA speeds. thanks!
Not sure about that because I am just using 3G with 384kbps connection…
