Packaging and Design
Everything is well-protected in a long package. Besides SonicBar HD2000, there are IR remote control, 2 triple-A batteries, AUX cable, RCA to AUX cable, power adaptor and user manual.
Take your time to unpack. And go through the guide.
Excellent build quality for the price. It has a long metal speaker grill in the front. Having width just like a 27″ monitor. Easy to place it under the monitor / TV indeed. No extra space is needed.
There are 2 44 x 80mm runway shape speakers for both left and right channels. A 2″ tweeter and a bass reflex port in the middle of them. They have total power output of 40W (RMS).
The power, play, volume and audio mode buttons are located on the left.
The rest of the stuff can be found near there at the back. Coaxial, USB port, AUX input and DC input are there. That’s all.
Performance Result
Excellent Bluetooth performance. It can reach up to 8m with obstacles like wall. Furthermore, it has virtually no lag between video and audio. Great for playing games and watching movie on your smartphone. For non-Bluetooth devices, AUX and coaxial connections are always there for you.
Always use digital connection when possible. They have the cleanest audio quality and everything will be processed by the speaker DSP itself. So it is not affected by the media player at all. No worries if don’t have it, AUX connection is available as the last resource.
40W pure output power (RMS) can fill up a medium and quiet living room. For the best audio experience, try to stay as close as possible to the soundbar. You can feel more bass coming out from it then.
SonicGear SonicBar HD2000 sounds excellent for the price. Crisp and clear treble with decent bass. In addition, you can adjust the treble and bass levels to suit your taste. All the musical instruments can be heard clearly. Vocals for both male and female sound natural. Overall, it is a bright soundbar which focuses on treble more than bass. So don’t expect deep bass like with dedicated subwoofer.

- Crisp, clear treble with decent bass
- Bluetooth, coaxial, AUX & MP3/WMA/FLAC

- Remote control included
Limitations
