Outstanding performance for a USB 3.2 Gen 2 portable SSD. Period. 500GB Netac ZX10 manages to reach up to 1088 MB/s for reading and 1023 MB/s for writing. Yes, that’s the result of sequence Q8T1 test in CrystalDiskMark 8.0.4 benchmark. Besides, it also has high IOPS which is great for accessing multiple small files at the same time.
ATTO Disk Benchmark 4.01 gives almost the same results. FYI, the speed may vary due to host hardware, software, usage and storage capacity. Do take note…
550 MB/s constant writing speed. ZX10 is loaded with a lot of cache buffer. Fast transfer rate is what you will get. Period. Note – 61GB file is being used here. By the way, ZX10 does become hot to touch when fully loaded especially on heavy writing. Nothing to worry about because aluminium alloy is an excellent heatsink. And it will cool the drive down fast.
Netac ZX10 is working properly on PC, laptop and smartphones. And the best news – it works flawlessly on Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K too. BPCC is very picky on SSD. Not all fast SSD will work. Yes, ZX10 can record non-stop video even on the highest 4K recording setting in RAW. That’s not all. It is working excellently on PS5 as external storage too.
