Samsung firmware for its Android devices is almost the same. And Samsung is using CSC codes to control features available on Android devices and countries. So by editing the CSC feature.xml (or others.xml), you can enable some disabled features. This secret CSC is working on latest Jelly Bean firmware for Samsung devices like Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2… Not all CSC codes are working on your Samsung devices but no harm to try them. Note – root access is required.
Enable secret CSC features like enter key = new Line in stock sms, enable sub symbols on stock Samsung keyboard, Dialer search matches numbers in contacts and call logs along with contacts, add exit menu to stock web browser, add shutter sound on/off menu to stock camera app…

Vinod
Sorry Vinod, I have no idea on this. Please consult Samsung Support.
Hey Jayce sorry to bother you again but have you tried this on Android Revolution HD ROM for S3? I tried the exit browser and camera shutter sound menu working before but I tried editing others.xml again using this custom rom and it’s not working anymore.
Thanks
Nope.
Hi Jayce,
My Galaxy Note 10.1 did not have CSC – XME and it can’t update for Jelly Bean 4.1.2 via kies and OTA. How to insert or add XME in the CSC list? Thanks.
Hi apis, did you install custom firmware or stuff on it?
My current CSC is KSA. My nephew bought at oversea and gave to me. I heard jelly bean has out for note 10.1 in Malaysia. I checked in CSC – malaysia XME not in the list. Pls help
You can’t simply change CSC to get update. You need to change the whole firmware to Malaysia firmware.
How to change the whole firmware to Malaysia firmware? Please advice, I really eager to get Jelly bean.
I don’t have exact guide for Galaxy Note 10.1. But you can refer to Galaxy Note 2 guide. The process is the same.
