酷我音乐盒 KuWo ~ A music player that you don’t want to miss. My friend, CC introduced this wonderful music player to me. It is not just a music player that plays MP3 or WMA. You can download more than 1,000,000 songs, MV, lyrics from its song database free. The scrolling lyric is the best part that I like. You can also enable desktop style lyrics. I am listening to MP3 and watching the lyrics to sing while typing this post. It is great to have this wonderful music player. By the way, the music box is in Chinese. But you can play / download songs in any languages.

Besides listening to music, KuWo Music Box provides the ability to sing karaoke. Yup. You did not read it wrong. You can sing K with this music player. Note – depend on the MV that you download. Not every MV has the karaoke function. Woo… Writing this post is getting longer than I thought. I stop writing so many times just to sing the songs. I just can’t stop myself from singing.

    • for mac… download MiguMusic. its similar (less good but only one that works on mac).

      Have tried kuwo/kugou with Crossover-doesnt work
      also tried with parallels but too troublesome

  5. Hi there…I can’t really read Chinese characters, and I’ve been using this for awhile now…and for some reason when I click the MV option, the sound loads but the image is just stuck…it doesn’t move at all…is there a way to fix this? Thanks…

    • hai….for u information this problem is because of u system…u need go to control panel then change the administrative language into chineses PRC

    how to do without installing extra chinese software? my google chrome can see chinese wording, but not KW music … 🙁

  34. Hello, I installed it but i have an error with C:/Programmes/KWMUSIC/kuwo/Conf/setup.xml. It doesn’t want to load after that. Maybe it’s because i have Windows 7 since i succesfully installed it in my aunt windows xp computer.
    Do you have a solution ? I already change the unicode language.

  35. I manage to have Kwmusic load by giving the permission to access the program folder. I can see the interface and navigate but when i click to listen the music, nothing happen. By the way i can’t see the left part of the interface with all artists.

  36. Hi, i recently installed Kuwo but it cant play any song. It will just keep skipping to the next song until the end then it repeats . And the song title will be highlighted in orange. Anybody facing the same problem?

  39. Those having difficulty -> in newer versions there is a country restriction to those who can listen to kuwo ??due to copyright issues

    Those trying to use Windows 7 -> there is an issue where it NEEDS Windows media player 9..
    Windows 7 cannot backtrack to use WMP9 so it doesnt work.

    Need to have UNICODE/Chinese PRC installed as well.

    Those trying to use MAC/Parallels/VMWare -> get MiguMusic. works but slow/stuttering at times.

  40. I used KW Music box version 2011 successfully until one week ago when it does not download songs.
    I installed version 2011 in three computer of mine and they all worked before and all stop now.
    Could someone tell me how to make it work again as I really like the software?

  42. i dn’t knw what’s wrong with my computer,when i want 2 open kuwo music box,it keep showng that window media centre can’t open it,please try again. my kuwo icon also changed.not only that,other programme’s icon also changed 2 a letter ‘e’.YYY?PLEASE HELP ME!!!=(

  43. hello there, to anyone who know chinese here, i have accidently deleted the song list that been listen before in this software. do anyone know how to recover back the song list? what i did is i accidentally click the (x) icon underneath the play list. please help me!! thank you

  45. For those who has problem reading chinese in Kuwo or Kugou

    Please do the following

    Go to control panel
    Regional and language settings
    Look for Administrative
    Change system local
    Select (Simplified Chinese Singapore)
    After you done this, the computer will prompt you to restart

    After your computer has restart, then you install Kuwo or Kugou. Otherwise if you preinstall first before you change the system locale, it might not work properly.

  52. Dear Jaycee Ooi, I lives in Japan and previously I used to be able to download Chinese songs using KUWO 2012(old version) but now upon updating to Kuwo2014 recently I get this message saying 基于版权保护，酷我音乐目前仅对中国大陆地区用户提供服务，敬请谅解

  53. Erm… hi. But how to not have the scrolling lyrics out of the app? (As in if I exit the app, I dont want the lyrics scrolling on the screen.)

  54. The software is nice to use as it gather lot of songs but meanwhile a lot of problems too. I cant uninstall instruction language, after trying several times and google search,i’d able to uninstall it (version 2014),if u face the same prob can follow the below:
    1.first picture choose 3rd option
    2. following the pop up window choose 2nd option.
    that’s all

  56. Hi, I’ve downloaded Kuwo 2015 on my laptop. But the at my files, i keep seeing “Lyrics” and “Temp”.

    Is there a way to stop it’s auto download?? Coz every time after listening to music, I’ll have to delete the 2 folders. It’s annoying. Thanks 🙂

    I need help with Kuwo K Ge, as I simply couldn’t search for karaoke songs.
    I’d attached a photo for your reference. How do I proceed?

    It’s very hard for me as I can barely read chinese.
